My wife an I went to Highline Imports not expecting to buy a car at that day. Tyler showed us around the lot and at no time did we feel pressured. He did not try to push anything on us. On September 12th we purchased a 3 year old Honda Odyssey from Highline Imports Inc. remotely using the internet, email and telephone. Although we saw pictures of the vehicle, we didn’t get a chance to take from Highline Imports Inc. remotely using the internet, email and telephone. Although we saw pictures of the vehicle, we didn’t get a chance to take a close look until we received the car in New York on September 29th. After receiving this vehicle, we became aware of significant interior damage and missing parts that were not disclosed before purchase. The wear is far beyond what would be expected for a 3 year old car, and we currently suspect it was used for industrial purposes rather than as a passenger vehicle. Had these problems been disclosed to us before purchasing, we would not have bought this vehicle. Our 12 year old Odyssey has survived our four boys without anything like the damage we found in this vehicle. Missing Parts: • spare tire • cover for spare tire • interior cover panel for right tail light • inner fender liner • front splash shield • exhaust resonator • lazy susan for floor compartment • all keyless remotes • spare key • codes for navigation/radio • manual • entertainment system accessories (headsets and remote) • DVD for navigation system • Floor mats Damage: • The primary locking mechanism for the car was broken. • The front bumper was partially detached. • A 2.5" hole is punched through the interior wall in the trunk area. • Significant rip on RHS rear passenger bucket seat was badly repaired; the seat now looks melted. • Multiple cuts through leather seats, up to 3” in length. • Chemical burn on carpet where carpet has been stripped of all fibre • Rear seatbelt is frayed. • Carpets require replacement due to strong chemical stench. Also well stained. • In general the exterior appeared as we expected for a 3 year old used vehicle, but after inspection we discovered that the exterior has been repainted. It is unknown how the quality of this finish will stand up compared to a factory finish. Detailing: • Car arrived with food packaging, food and other garbage in pockets throughout. • The carpets were extremely filthy; cleaning was unsuccessful. Will need replacement. In addition one area of carpet in the middle row appears to have been burnt off through some kind of chemical exposure. • Seatbelts are brown and stained. • Strong bad odour coming from car (chemical smell). • Mold in rear floor compartment (appearance of black spots, brown dirt). My husband and I came in to the dealership to inquire about two of the Infiniti SUVs listed in the Birmingham News. We were greeted very cordially by Jimmy Adams, and he proceeded to ask if he could assi about two of the Infiniti SUVs listed in the Birmingham News. We were welcomed into the dealership by Mr. Adams, and were also greeted by other members of the staff in a pleasant and friendly manner. The vehicles we were interested in were on the lot,and we were taken to look at them and test drove the one that we purchased. The car buying process with this dealership was a very pleasant and friendly experience, from the initial meeting with Jimmy on through the application process. The questions and concerns that we had about the vehicle/and the purchase process were answered to our satisfaction, by Jimmy and the finance officers. We have purchased many vehicles through the years from other dealers, but this purchase process was the best!! The kind,courteous and efficient service we received at Highline Imports was greatly appreciated. The staff made us feel very comfortable during our visit.
