I was not in the market for a new vehicle but my VW of 13 years needed repairs that were too costly so my next best option was to purchase another car. It started when John Akers..VW service rep .unknowingly to me..asked Richie Ramkelawan to contact me because John knew I was going to have to purchase another car although I wasn't prepared for it. Richie called and was very kind and supportive from the start assuring me his main concern was customer satisfaction. Richie set up an appt to meet me but was out ill for a couple of days..yet still called me to let me know he wanted to help me. In Richie's absence Herb Thomas stepped in and showed me the new VW passat. Test drove one and also a Tiguan. He and Armando took time to get me a quote and go over the numbers although i told them I was just looking and not really certain I was going to purchase a VW. It didn't matter to them. When Richie returned to work he went out of his way to contact me without being pushy to encourage me to look further into purchasing another VW. I saw a 2016 at another dealership in a nice color. Richie made certain to have the car sent to Russell for me in case I decided to purchase it which I did. He walked me through the entire process with super patience to make sure I was comfortable in what I was going to buy. Herb Thomas took the time to call my insurance company to let them know I was replacing my old car with a new one and got the written proof of insurance for me to have. CJ Jefferson the Finance rep worked with me to get me to an affordable lower interest rate than quoted ealier to match a monthly payment comfortable for me to include a few of the optional maint pkgs still making it affordable for me. He went over the paperwork as I signed to ensure I understood everything. Once the business was complete Richie took the time...although it was near closing..to go over all of the technolog and features in the new car. He along with everyone made my experience at Russel great! It was good to see that everyone..although they each have their own expertise..came together as one team for the good of the customer. I left in awe at them and was very happy and satisfied from beginning to end. Richie has called me just to check to see if the car is riding good and has left the door open to feel free to call him at any time if I have a question . Thank you all.
