I purchased my first Toyota from Heritage ten years ago. Today I came home with the latest lease [after 2 others]. I drive 60 miles from NY to So. Burlington Vt to go to this dealership. The sales staff and business staff have been great - patient and answering all questions. I have yet to have this car serviced but have been very satisfied in the past. When there was a problem of any kind with the service department, they always worked hard to correct it. I picked this time for a new lease due to a nationwide ad for $159 per mo and $2799 on signing - a great price for a well-loaded Camry LE. When I went to look at the car, there was of course small print but they worked very hard to take a car more expensive than the "ad" and come up with what I had wanted! I like to know what all the "numbers" mean and they were very accommodating. I was very satisfied that I had received all the information to make an informed decision. The price offered by this dealer is $500 above the price I got from another dealer 200 miles away. Nevertheless I chose to buy from them because of the convenience of a local dealer. I have worked with Mr. Dave Juenker during the process. He has been very nice and patient with me through out. We kept close contact during and after the buying process and he is still assisting me with technical questions now. I think they can improve on how they sell warranties. I have been asked whether to buy the warranty at the last minute of my purchase. And I said no just to be safe, because I don't have enough information on alternative options. If they had informed me earlier and gave me time to think about it I might have decided to buy it. More
I went into heritage to look for a new vehicle. I was working with larry but it felt more like I was being told what I could afford, what I wanted, and when I could get it. Overall it was a horrible expe working with larry but it felt more like I was being told what I could afford, what I wanted, and when I could get it. Overall it was a horrible experience which left a horrible taste in my mouth. I have never met a dealer whom would actually call a customer a liar to their face but it happened! I had a wonderful time working with Dave to purchase my new car. He was extremely friendly from the get-go, and was able to extract what I wanted in a car and translate that to a good fit. I stopped in because my recently purchased car had a tire leaking air. Ray was great; he looked at my car quickly, even suggested that they try to patch it (when I assumed I'd need a new tire), and did his b leaking air. Our recent car-buying experience at Heritage was terrific. Sue Robinson was a delight to work with. She was prepared for our appointment, calm, kind, and professional. Landel was very enthusiastic in taking care of us. He showed us two different cars and let us test drive. He answered all the questions. There was no presure. We liked the car very much. In general, communication from this dealership was horrible. We had to deal with multiple people due to our original sales associate leaving. A tip that we have for anyone using this dealership is to get the deal in writing. If it changes go somewhere else. Another big negative was about 30 minutes before we were supposed to pick up the car, we received a call that it was not ready and it would still have to go into the service department for some of the features that were part of the deal. It seemed that Heritage did not care if they did business with us or not. More
Overall a very good buying experience. My 4 ratings (good) above are more like 4.5. I really liked the sales person (Alex). It was refreshing that he readly admitted when he wasn't sure how to answer. So many try to BS an answer. The financing part was a bit time consuming with a great deal of time spent on trying to sell extended warranties, life insurance, disabilty insurance and weather proofing. The finance person (Tim) was professional and friendly, but I just wanted to drive my new truck. This is my second positive purchasing experience with Heritage (new Rav4 in April '10). More
