Made it very easy to buy a new car at a time when that can be very complicated. James helped me find my car before it even arrived in the country and stayed in communication throughout its journey to the can be very complicated. Heritage Toyota Catonsville- Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience from them. I bought 2021 new Corolla from them. The car had remote start function and it was working for almost 4 months and disappointing experience from them. I bought 2021 new Corolla from them. The car had remote start function and it was working for almost 4 months and later stopped working. When I approached them for service, they first insisted that such a feature was not available in the car! When the sales department confirmed that it was actually working and that is why I bought this car, they told me I will have to pay some $300+ to get the software reinstallation. When I asked for free installation as I have already paid for it in the new car, they asked me to register with Toyota on a monthly subscription basis. Some 9 or 10 $ a month. Though the monthly amount is very small, (eventually it will drain my pocket over few years), I feel I am cheated. When I contacted Toyota customer care, they insisted me to sort it out with the dealer as they (Toyota Cust Care) could not physically inspect the vehicle. They also told me, that feature is not being shown in the computer for this particular vehicle and dealer might have given any offer. I am disappointed that I am a victim of their fraudulent tactics of selling cars with some false promises. Finally they admitted that it was actually working in the vehicle and may be given as a promotional offer! (by whom remains a mystery!) Now Heritage is not answering my emails! Very terrible service without any courtesy. Not at all customer-oriented. I strongly advice the people, especially, those who are on non-immigrant visa, not to transact with them and if you do, you will be terribly disappointed and shocked at some point! Thanks for your time reading this, but I assure you, it is worth!!! Update: Someone from the dealership contacted me promising a resolution. I was told that the remote start will be restored or refund the equivalent money. But they did not do anything and now no response from the dealer. My sincere advice to the prospective customers not to be a victim of this dealership. They are just focusing on making money without really caring for the customer! My advice is that pls make money, but be responsible for what you promise. Maintain the courtesy. More
My husband and I bought a 2021 Corolla (black), VIN JTDVPMAxxxx136373 in Nov 2020. Actually, they offered some cool features like remote start and lured us into buying it! Unfortunately the Remote start function stopped working after about 4 months of use and when I approached the service department, they said such a function never existed in that vehicle. When I insisted it was there and I was using it, they finally accepted it and agreed to restore it by software update and I was asked to pay $350. But I insisted that I have already paid for that feature when buying the new car and I was using it. Then they told us some excuses like LE trim is not supposed to have it and they blamed Toyota. The sales personnel at Heritage who dealt with me also insisted that the remote start function was working in my vehicle and that is one of the main reasons we bought that vehicle. Nothing turned fruitful. I had to give up. My sincere advice to everyone out there is to avoid this dealer at any cost. My comment seems rude, but actually we regret falling prey to this dealer everyday whenever we use that vehicle. More
I sold a my old car to buy a new car for my son last mid July. Everything went well at that time. But I need to get a check from the dealership. I visited mid August to pick up my new car's tag. He said it takes only couple weeks and he will find and call me asap. I never got any phone call from the dealership. I and my son called several times to the different department. Everyone same answered that they will find & call. But we never got any answer from anyone at all. Finally my son contact a person who is working at the finance department. He said the check was sent last September 17th. But still I haven't gotten my check until today (September 25). I bought several cars & sold some my old cars to the different dealerships. I have never had any issues or problems except this dealership. It is one of the biggest car maker in the world. And this dealership got very good reviews from the many customers. I experienced they are operating on a small scale and not systematically. One of the worst ever. More
