Jason was very HONEST, friendly and responsive to all my questions. When my mechanic told me, Miss Audrey, I think it's time for you to get a new car, I knew I couldn't put it off. I talked to Jason on the phone and, with his team, organized the whole transaction and had all the paperwork prepared for me to sign a few documents and drive away with the car with its permanent plates and all. He was very pleasant and - if he thought I was quirky - did not let on. How fortunate you were to find him and have the presence of mind to realize what an asset he would be. That is why I gave a 5 for these 3. RE: Price and Quality of Work - $300 over invoice. That is fine for me! Quality of Work - the car was spotless, the final plates were on the car and the doggie separator were installed at the time they told me the car was ready. That is why I gave a 5 for these. More
Subaru cars are made by a very reputable company that is in 4X4/AWD business for quite sometime. Jason Withrow and his boss behind the glass enclosed room from Herb Gordon Subaru had given me and my spouse the most appreciable customer service and a very pleasant overall buying experience compared to our past 10 auto purchases and during our most recent visits to other local Subaru dealerships within Baltimore/Washington DC area. His product knowledge is beyond reproach; salesmanship skills and ability to gain our trust as an honest broker is incomparable. In addition, Jason also worked the dealer sales pricing that nailed our decision to buy the car from him. I am recommending his excellent services to my son and daughter who are also looking at Subaru cars. More

There were no surprise charges added to our invoice, even though we used our bank's car buying program and financing. They didn't try to "upsell" us or push us into using their services for financing. There were a couple of minor issues with the car, which they caught and made right for us, without us asking. AND, they told us that they'd found the issues, rather than keeping us in the dark. Overall, we had an excellent experience with them. More

I was very comfortable with my salesperson, Jason, immediately as I got the sense that he truly believed in the product. Jason was knowledgeable about all of the features of the car and was able to answer all of the questions I asked (and a few I didn't). Eric did a great job explaining the financing terms and reviewing my options when we got to that phase of negotiations (which I was very concerned about as a first-timer). The entire team was very patient and understanding with multiple test drives and questions. There were a number of instances where they took the initiative to make the extra efforts - both big and small - that make the difference between a good and a poor experience. Overall, I would highly recommend Herb Gordon Subaru to other consumers. More

I went to Herb Gordon first because it was the closest Subaru dealer to me. Afterwards, I went to others in the area, including FitzMall in Kensington. While pricing was close enough to be a non-issue, the service I got at Herb Gordon made all the difference. Arriving on the lot, I was greeted and asked what vehicle I was interested in. I was looking for a WRX 5-door and Jason, my salesperson recognized that I knew what I wanted and adjusted promptly, pointing out finer details and trim level differences, rather than obvious specs I could have recited to him. We were soon test driving, and Jason selected a longer route than other salespeople at the same auto mall had, allowing a better chance to get a feel for the car. Returning, he put no pressure on me to get to the table, understanding I had other shopping to do. After deciding the WRX was the car for me, I began getting online quotes from dealers in the area. Jason was as in touch as I needed, but didn't pester. Herb Gordon matched or beat every deal I got from other dealerships. Once a price was agreed upon, it was set. Additions (fabric treatment and tire insurance, ect) were offered and explained but not pushed. No silly charges were added. Once at the finance table, Eric was thoroughly helpful, and explained everything as he did it. No under the table funny business. As an aside, Eric is clearly a true Subaru enthusiast, and it showed in his interactions with me. I felt like I was not simply a customer, but a new member of the Subaru enthusiast community. I will definitely be going back to him for advice as I find ways to make my new car my own creation. Finally, when taking my car to detail, it was found that a light had been left on and the battery was drained. Instead of jumping it, and trusting it to be ok, the parts department put in a brand new battery. While obviously the right course of action, I never would have known if they had cut corners, until I got stranded somewhere. All in all, I chose to work with Herb Gordon because not only was their pricing extremely competitive, but I felt the most comfortable with their staff.
