Then came the fun part of negotiating the deal. We did not initially expect to close the deal that evening, but it was the last day of the month of July and the dealer very much wanted to close the deal prior to month end. They demonstrated flexibility on the value of my 12 year old trade-in and on the price of the car. Our sales consultant stayed with us even though it was well past his time to leave. Rob Williams was assigned as my sales assistance and he immediately put me at ease and made me feel like I made the right decision to do business with the Herb Chambers Lexus dealership. He was sensitive to the emotional attachment I had to my car, which was my very first car and I owned for over 14 years. He was patient with working through the details of the sale and spent time getting me familiar with the mechanics of the car to make sure we got home safely, even though it was their month end and by the time our business was concluded, it was well after 11 p.m. When I called him the following day with a list of things I wanted taken care of on the car, he was never condescending or impatient and never rushed me. He was as detailed as I was with what I wanted done and worked with Marc Scotch in the service department to ensure that all my concerns were addressed. He even completed the work in less time than I expected. He made what is a tedious and overwhelming process very seamless for me and I am incredibly appreciative of the time and patience he afforded me.
