She was the consummate professional from start to finish. I was also quite impressed by their pholosophy of relationship building between the customer and a single service contact person. After wrecking my car in an accident last year, I was in the market for a new 2013 GS350 and was looking for nearly every option available like ML Sound, Pre-Collision System, Lane Keep Assist etc. and was the market for a new 2013 GS350 and was looking for nearly every option available like ML Sound, Pre-Collision System, Lane Keep Assist etc. and was also looking for a really nice deal . After talking to almost every dealer in New England ( and I am not kidding here), I talked to Mr. Spero Coston at Herb Chambers Lexus and ended up placing the custom order through him. It takes about 4.5 months for Lexus to manufacture and ship a custom order from Japan and based on my 4.5 months of interaction with the dealership , I can safely say that Herb Chambers Lexus ( and more specifically, Mr Coston) are among the best of the best in terms of the overall Lexus purchase experience. Before I tell you why I have reached that conclusion , let me tell you what I experienced at some of the other dealerships in the area.. Lexus of Warwick( Arrogant, Rude behavior ... I was told that they close in 45 mins so I should make an appointment before I come in ) ... Lexus of Northborough ( The ES was more within my price range and and they could work with me to make that happen..even though I wanted the GS), Balise Lexus ( They wouldn't like to place any custom orders and I could pick a car that they had in stock ), Lexus of Watertown (Probably the worst of them all ... I wasted over 2 hours of my time and drove (more than 50 miles each way) to their dealership with my 7 month pregnant wife at that time because I was told over the phone that they had over $4500 in Christmas incentives that I qualified for but I needed to come down that evening.. and after 2 hours of negotiation ,they apologized that I was given inaccurate information and I never found out the price they were willing to sell the GS for). Mr Spero Coston treated me with respect from the moment I walked in . There were no games , he told me the price he could offer me the car for and it was a fantastic offer for a custom order. I am sure I could have done better if I had picked up a car that they had in the lot but I have not found a better offer in New England area for a custom GS. He was very honest about the time-frame for a custom order and how painful the wait can be (which I totally understand now ). At one point during the four and a half month process, he actually responded to my email even though he was on vacation . Last but not the least , when I finally took the delivery of the car, Mr Coston was supposed to leave for the day at 5:30pm but stayed on for more than 2 hours after his shift ended just to make sure that I was able to drive the car home that day and made sure that he explained all the new features of my car. To me , that is going above and beyond in customer service. I highly recommend Herb Chambers Lexus and Mr Coston and wlll definitely return here for my future Lexus needs(and btw, I think that the 4.5 month wait was worth it for my dream car... the GS is absolutely phenomenal). I consider Spero more than a sales representative, he is more a consultant and advisor to me. He has earned my trust over the last 14 years and I would not buy a car from anyone else. In addition I always have my car serviced at the dealership and it paid off when the insurance company settled the value of my car. The service is excellent and very friendly. My gratitude goes to Spero for selling me a new beautiful ES350 in sparkling white. I love my new car! A family friend suggested this dealership over the local competitor, so I thought it was worth making the longer drive to visit. My first take was that it was a top-notch establishment; the front desk staff competitor, so I thought it was worth making the longer drive to visit. My first take was that it was a top-notch establishment; the front desk staff, sales associate, and sales manager were all very professional. Additionally, the business development staff I conversed with via email was a pleasure to talk to. I was impressed. The sales manager kindly stopped by during my visit, and mentioned the great deal I was going to get. Unfortunately, they did not have the particular model of vehicle in stock that I was looking for. However, the vibe of professionalism and courtesy left a great impression, making me want to do business with Herb Chambers Lexus. So I changed what I was looking for, and opted to instead attempt to purchase a vehicle that was about $7,000 more than I had planned on spending. However, I felt like I trusted this business. Then it was time to negotiate price, and given the earlier comment about a great deal, I had decent expectations. However, I was greatly disappointed. Their "best" price offered me a trade in value thousands below KBB, and the 'discount' to MSRP was a fraction of what was listed on Edmonds TMV. Also worth mentioning that it was the end of the model year. Given that I had moved so far from my budget, in an effort to make a deal happen, I had hoped to they would be willing to "meet in the middle," and move noticeably on their side as well, but apparently not. I have very little free time, and felt like I unfortunately wasted it attempting to negotiate a fair deal with Herb Chambers Lexus. I do not feel it is fair to mentioned the individuals encountered by name, as ultimately this experience was predominantly influenced by a single individual being inflexible with price; chances are I may have not even met that person.
