I also had a front bumper damaged from a deer I hit. I had already filed a claim with my insurance company and they assessed the damage and given me the paper work to get it fixed. I simply asked Herb Chambers if they could do the work while my Wrangler was in the shop. They said they could but parts were on back order. So I picked up my Jeep and Chambers tried to charge $89 for diagnosing my damaged front bumper. Had quite an intense conversation with the service rep after he told me I wouldn’t get my keys if I didn’t pay. Finally, it was resolved that it wasn’t a diagnosis and I went on my way. I won’t be having any work done unless it’s under warranty. More

Absolutely abysmal service department. Leased a Jeep (first mistake, I know). Went in because of the check engine light that all Jeeps mysteriously seem to get by the 3 month mark. Explained that I alre (first mistake, I know). Went in because of the check engine light that all Jeeps mysteriously seem to get by the 3 month mark. Explained that I already scanned it myself. Service advisor proceeds to scan it with the Mickey Mouse bluetooth dongle and says "I can't find a code, but I cleared the light for you". Come back two months later when the light is back on and they tell me that they can't find the code again, but a mechanic will look. He looks, says "I can't do nuthin' til' you get an oil change here, looks like you did it yerself". I get rammed for $100 for a 5 quart oil change and then told to come back when the light comes on. Now, 6 months down the line from when I originally came in they finally take it in and acknowledge the engine light. Says it's an issue with the valve timing module and they need to order the part. Okay, fine. They finally get it done and call me at the end of the day to pick it up. Confirmed with the service advisor that they would be open until 6. I got there at 5:15 and it was a ghost town. Someone let me know that they actually closed an hour early for their Christmas party and that I would have to come back the next day for the car. Head doesn't know what the body is doing, to say the least. The real kicker - 6 months later the oil pan started leaking again. Gasket was a mess from the warranty work. Kelly Jeep fixed it in a matter of two days, no questions asked and not a penny spent. More
They only care to sell the cars. Once you get the car their customer service is xxxx. I (a woman) go there to get the oil changes on my challenger and they make jokes that it’s my husbands car or when th their customer service is xxxx. I (a woman) go there to get the oil changes on my challenger and they make jokes that it’s my husbands car or when they saw scratches on the wheels which my husband made they didn’t believe me and joked about it and they schedule you for service when specialists are not there and promise a rental and don’t deliver. Horrible service experience. Brought my jeep in for inspection sticker, oil change and tire rotation. Received call saying everything was done and went to pick up where I paid and received a receipt s inspection sticker, oil change and tire rotation. Received call saying everything was done and went to pick up where I paid and received a receipt showing everything was completed. Went to get my jeep and noticed that it was missing a lug nut and had no inspection sticker. Brought this to attention of service department and was asked to show tech who worked on car which lug was missing. At this point, was asked to wait while they completed the inspection and put the lug on. Over an hour later, I am now told by the same tech who needed me to show him the missing lug nut that he noticed the car was missing the lug nut when I brought it in. I am also now being told that the inspection sticker could not be given due to a crack in the windshield. A crack that was repaired years ago and which has been there for previous inspections by this same dealer. Also, if the lug was missing when I brought it in and the inspection was a problem why wasn't I told when they called to say everything was done. Also, why would they be comfortable with me driving the car away if it was missing a lug nut as that would seem to be a safety issue. I understand mistakes can be made, but lying about them just leaves me doubting the entirety of the service being performed. So disappointed. More
Can't fix your car if it doesn't "throw a code" Didn't want to do this but I have to. Had my car towed to Herb Chambers because of a noise that was coming from the car. I felt the car was not safe t Didn't want to do this but I have to. Had my car towed to Herb Chambers because of a noise that was coming from the car. I felt the car was not safe to drive. The Service department is something to be desired. The tell me they took it for a ride and did not hear anything. I persisted and had them take it for another ride, they still say they don't hear anything and the car did not throw a "code". "Maybe a slight noise coming from a hub" Well then you did hear a noise, I say to Colby. He tells me that I can take the car home yesterday and if it's still making the noise to bring it back today (Friday). I called right at 8:30 Colby is off. So I asked the woman on the phone to talk to someone else because I need to get my car in there today. She says well no because we are already booked straight out. Not to mention they hung up 3 times on my husband when he called. What kind of customer service is this? Do they not want to work on my car because I purchased at a different dealer and do not want to honor warranty work? I took my car to another dealer to look at the car, They heard the noise found that the prop shaft needs to be replaced. I will never take my car to Herb Chambers again and would not recommend them to anyone. More
Great Service I am surprised by some of the negative reviews. I had my car serviced today and I was treated very well and had excellent service. I called this morn I am surprised by some of the negative reviews. I had my car serviced today and I was treated very well and had excellent service. I called this morning and spoke with Colby and he was able to get me in today. I dropped my car off and was back in my office within 30 minutes. Everyone was very nice and they were able to fix the problem with my breaks right away even though there were a lot of other cars there too. The waiting area looked nice too. There is one area with a tv and another area that is quieter for people who want to work on their laptops. I definitely want to buy my next car form this dealership. More
Guardian Angels I want to thank you for the amazing service my family recieved from the service department. My family had arrived in Danvers (We are from out of sta I want to thank you for the amazing service my family recieved from the service department. My family had arrived in Danvers (We are from out of state) for a short visit and my Dodge Caravan had a major transmission issue. My van was under warranty and had been in my local dealership's service department to have my transmission checked about 6 weeks ago now. When I left them I was told that my van was safe to drive. 4 weeks later my transmission went into safe mode 2 miles from the Herb Chambers dealership in Danvers. This meant that my van could not go above 20-25mph. It was constantly shuddering and triggered my PTSD. Those 2 miles were the longest 2 miles of my life. While my van was parked in their lot, Ray Arocho heard part of my conversation with my local dealership and could tell that we were in trouble. Ray took charge and offered to handle fixing my van and working with the warranty company. From there Ray met every challenge that came up and advocated heavily for us. It took about a week and a half for Ray and his service team to completely replace the transmission. Ray stayed in constant communication with us and kept us updated on the warranty issues and on the delivery of the new transmission. The service person responsible for removing and installing the new transmission worked late one day and early the next just to help us get home. I really can not thank everyone enough for all the help in our time of need. Ray and his team were our guardian angels taking care of us. In this day and age it is hard to trust in people, but rest assured you can trust Ray and his team. Again Thank You! More
