I just purchased my second vehicle from Kevin and just like my first am 1000% satisfied. Kevin as an individual is just a "great guy" and simply can't do enough for you... Every single time I walk in that dealership, (which believe it or not sometimes is to do nothing other then say hello) the same faces are always there and they are always friendly and accommodating. While I had my Hummer serviced only a few times and a quick stop in the body shop once I can tell you the service department is just as phenomenal... Herb Chambers has smashed my expectations of not only purchasing a vehicle, but actually establishing a positive and lasting connection to an automobile dealership that in this day in age is so hard to do... If you are in the market for so much as a pair of wiper blades, and enjoy the experience of being greeted with a smile before, during and after the sale from everyone you come in contact with you need to go introduce yourself to the staff at Herb Chambers Cadillac Chevrolet. It was 11 Jan. 2011 after a sever winter storm. I had been involved in a minor accident that left me with a flat tire and a damaged rim. I came to Herb Chambers close to closing time believing I would ha been involved in a minor accident that left me with a flat tire and a damaged rim. I came to Herb Chambers close to closing time believing I would have to leave my vehicle (as I had the spare tire on that was smaller than the rest of the wheels and I feared it would do damge to the drive train) I was surprised to hear Mr. Lyon say; "Mr. Daniels were going to fix it now and get you back on the road". Before I was told , By Scott, that he was going to have me rolling soon I had disrupted my families schedules and they were having to cancel after school activities in order to pick me up and help me finish my appointments for the day. Everybody was very happy to hear they could continue with thier schedules because I did not need anyone to come pick me up. Mr. Lyons' had a rim replaced, two tires balanced, and mounted at closing time with out a second thought. The team working on my vehicle got the work done without hurring through, just so they could go home. They even took the time to put my jack back where it belonged and scured all the tools I had used at the seen of the accident. I'm sure that nobody there realized that all they did effected my whole family. After being involve in an accident and having close to a disabled vehicle, I was thinking the worst having to go to a dealership (in general)for the repairs. It's hard to describe how pleasently suprised I was to have Mr. Lyon and the rest of the team committed to getting me back on the road that dreadful winter night. The day I walked into Herb Chambers of Danvers, it was not a very good day. My "junk box" was not worth the money needed to make it roadworthy. (I did not at all feel that this was a typical "bait and switch" tactic; since this was the third opinion about my vehicle - I had just hoped the dealership was in the position to do better with my car. It was only logical for me to talk to someone about another vehicle since I depend on it for work.) Opening the showroom door, the first smiling face I saw was Stephanie Killian's (smart move to strategically seat her by the door as she's real easy on the eyes) and her warmth and genuinely caring attitude made me feel better even if I wasn't driving home with a vehicle. Because of her quick wit and "keepin' it real" style, we hit it off immediately. I'm not fond of used car salespeople, however, Stephanie has adjusted my thinking and changed the stereotype for me. Her repeated and persistent contact with me while going through the process, her willingness to run for coffee/hot chocolate, and her ability to hold her own in a mostly male-dominated environment only added much interest to what turned out to be a most unexpected blessing in the form of a previously owned `Saturn ION. Also, since my purchase I've looked at similar vehicles and find that the price was comparable. More
I was most impressed by Sue Burek after she reached out to me in response to an online query about Cadillac Escalade ESV's in my area. Several dealerships replied but she was the one I wanted to do business with due to the fact that she was not at all pushy and was willing to listen. She also convinced me that Herb Chambers would not be beat when it came to price or service. Eventually she referred me to a young salesperson, Adam Tillinghast, who is very helpful, has a good attitude and is also not pushy. He has been willing to go the extra mile to make things right and continues to be a friend rather than just a salesperson despite being a stranger initially. Not everything has been perfect, though. Some items that were supposed to come with the vehicle were not passed on until I discovered the issue by reading the manual. Some requested phone calls have not come. The dealership does not yet know the Livery business and the specifics of Livery warranties and therefore I was on my own as I tried to make all the right choices. All-in-all a good experience. More
