I just took my new Honda CR-V in for its first service at Honda on S. Blvd., Charlotte.. Very nice gentleman named Ryan was my representative. I went in for a Honda Civic condenser fix under the 10 year warranty after it was diagnosed by two other auto shops. Both encouraged me to get the fix done under warranty instead of paying the high bill. year warranty after it was diagnosed by two other auto shops. Both encouraged me to get the fix done under warranty instead of paying the high bill. The attendant immediately dismissed this claim and said the tech noticed a compressor problem. I mentioned the diagnosis by the other shops again and the attendant confirms the condenser was also faulty but I would need both parts fixed. I pushed forward with only the warrant repair knowing I could be back to fix the compressor, I just wanted to test the AC after the warranty repair first. Before check out I was told I had to pay the diagnostic fee even though I was doing a warranty repair. I checked out with a different attendant because the original one was at lunch. The check out sheet mentioned NOTHING about a compressor being broken and I never signed anything saying I declined the compressor repair. The new attendant didn’t even mention me paying the diagnostic cost. This dealership will hassle you and avoid warranty repairs at all cost. Stick to your guns when dealing with these folks as they don’t care for you, just your wallet. More
