If buying a Used car, run away as fast as you can I was looking at a used car that this dealer ship had listed as an internet special. Let's call the price $11,000. I confirm that car is available and that the price is correct, then proceeded to drive the 1.5 hours to this dealership. Test drove the car, had a nice conversation with the sales rep, lets buy this car! That's when they hit me with extras, $3995 worth!!! An all in price, out the door of $14,500 +/- taxes. What?!? "No, no, I'm not interested in extras like an alarm system, gps tracking, nitro filled tires, and paint protection. Especially on a used car. No thank you I'll pass." Clearly this wasn't acceptable as I could tell by the poor kids face (Max) that this wasn't going to go over with his manager very well. I was told by the "manager" Sam that they are "mandatory" upgrades and that the dealership had already performed the work on all their cars and that's just the way it is. This is the point I said, "I'll give you exactly what your advertised price is and nothing more" only to be refused. What a joke, waste of my time and what a shady dealership. I seriously can't believe the good people of Hemet puts up with this and thinks the dealership is "helping protect their cars" with this crap. I still feel sorry for Max, good kid trying to sell a car but the leadership don't set them up for ethical success at all. Come to the dealerships in Orange County, they don't need to pray on good people to make a buck. More
