Good and Bad We brought our Ford Explorer into Hemborg to repair a rear main seal and take care of two notices from Ford on a front seat repair and an update to ou We brought our Ford Explorer into Hemborg to repair a rear main seal and take care of two notices from Ford on a front seat repair and an update to our GPS. We were advise it would take one week to repair rear main seal. We decided to take the car in for repairs during our vacation for a week. The car was ready when we returned home. The rear main seal was fixed. The two recalls were not. They had to order the part for the front drivers seat and we will be advised when it comes in. The update to our GPS system was not updated but we were told to do it ourselves based on page 454 in our handbook. I find it hard to understand why Hemborg would not update our GPS vs. telling us to do it. We havent tried to update the GPS yet due to family issues going on. Disappointed after buying car from Hemborg and receiving this kind of service. More
Avoid this place at all costs. They refused to provide me with a replacement copy of my warranty repair invoice, saying that their “legal department” doesn’t allow copies of invoices to customers after the f with a replacement copy of my warranty repair invoice, saying that their “legal department” doesn’t allow copies of invoices to customers after the fact. This is the definition of shady. If you did the repair properly, and you provided a copy initially, why would you refuse to provide additional copies? What do you have to hide? I already reached out to Ford Customer Care and got a copy of the work done from them. So screw you Hemborg. I’ll never do business with your shady dealership again. More
I just want to take a moment and thank Jose for his exceptional service. We had to have both our vehicles serviced and some repair work done and he made sure they were completed promptly. Did not do the repair I requested. Luis, service writer, did not communicate the repair issue to the technician. Also, they do not have a trained and qualified auto electrician on staf Luis, service writer, did not communicate the repair issue to the technician. I brought my car in the afternoon before the appointment to show Luis what my issue was with the fog lamps on my 2006 Mustang GT. I brought it in the next morning as scheduled. I was called in the afternoon to pick it up. I looked at what they did and the instructions on the repair order. All they did was remove and reinstall new fog lamp assemblies. The issue was to trouble shoot what was causing the frosting of the mirror surface on the reflective housing. That message was not not on the work order. They do not have a qualified automobile electronic technician nor the equipment to troubleshoot electrical. So, if you have an electrical issue. Don't go here. After spending over a 1/2 day debating the basis of the issue, the parts department refused the money for the 2 lamps - $283. The service Dept. finally refunded the $202. But I spent over 1/2 day at the dealership while debating this matter with Luis in service and waiting for them to put the old parts back in. I'll continue to use them for routine scheduled maintenance, only because they are the closest Ford dealer to me, but not for repairs. They lost my trust. More
