The acid test occurred when we had tentatively struck a deal and I was offered about $250 less elsewhere. My backing out was graciously accepted, even though the car I wanted had already been procured from another dealership. When in fact that agent was unable to secure permission for the further discount, offering just $63 less, I preferred to return to deal I had made at Hine. Not only was Dr. Watkins completely pleasant, but he gave me discounts on a couple options that made up the price difference. But that is only the beginning. The Mazda6 is a product of highly complex technology. I was first impressed, then amazed, at the amount of time Mike lavished upon explanation and demonstration of all the remarkable features of this highly endowed vehicle - all done with the enthusiasm of someone who drives the car himself. What's more, I came away with the sense that he would be happy to supply another tutorial if I ever have trouble understanding any arcane details of a very dense manual. We have been buying cars for 50 years. My association with John Hine Mazda has been the best of a lifetime. A couple more details, not about the dealership: 1. The INTELLIGENCE AND ORGANIZATION of Mazda's manual (and web site) sets a standard that I wish Apple would imitate. 2. It has been difficult for me to give up my '94 Camry, which hugs the road with gecko feet. But, as I've just written to my auto-savvy son, a resident of Tokyo, driving the Mazda6 is divine! Taking the curves in this car feels like ballroom dancing! It feels like bending over backwards in a Strauss waltz, knowing that your partner is holding you very securely. More

Ultimately my dad did most of the talking and Steve from sales was very helpful with answering any questions and showing us the different features on the CX-5. My dad had a lower offer from a different dealership which was further away but Steve was able to match that price and even able to give us the same interest rate whether or not the vehicle was under my dad's name or under my name but with my dad co-signing. Keith from financing was very helpful as well in regards to explaining the different add on features to purchase with the car. We opted to get the Lo-Jack with early detection but unfortunately Lo-Jack was closed that day when Keith tried to call and set up an appointment for installation (it was a Sunday). He said he would call them another time and give them our availability and that we should hear from them with the appointment day and time and that we would be able to change it if we needed to. The only part of our purchase that my father was a little upset about was that we hadn't heard any news about the Lo-Jack installation appointment for the next three days. I had called the dealership on Wednesday and asked about it and the lady who answered was very kind and helpful and informed me that Keith was off the last few days so he probably didn't get to it and that he was coming in that day and she would remind him about calling Lo-Jack. This is understandable but at the same time I would think that maybe they would have another employee finish the work to ensure that our Lo-Jack would get installed or contact us letting us know Keith would be off the next few days and would get to it when he got back. I, myself, am not too upset about it but my dad was pretty mad. A few hours later I did get an email from Keith saying he had set up the appointment and that we were free to change it if needed, so at least it was ultimately done. Despite the Lo-Jack issue, as a first time car buyer I would say it was a pretty good experience and would highly recommend this dealership. More

He made the process easy and comfortable. I got a great deal on a great car. I got exactly what I wanted (no more and no less) and picked it up the next morning. Keith G. in the finance department beat our credit union with a fantastic rate. He explained everything very carefully and made the process pleasant and painless. I am a happy customer. More

I would have been surprised if there was a car exactly optioned the way I desired. Since I had several colors I was willing to go with, Michael was able to work out the additional options/accessories I wanted on one of the vehicles in stock. I paid a bit more than what Edmunds would have recommended for my zipcode, but I ended up with what I wanted. Tina A. helped me for my first service visit to have all the options I purchased installed on the vehicle. The service department did a good job and had my car ready in half a day. Only complaint I have is that the Purchase Review sheet and the actual purchase agreement do not itemize all the costs in a one for one manner. There is no easy way to determine if the purchase agreement matches the purchase review. In other words, there is no way to quickly verify that the out the door (OTD) price on the purchase review is identical to the OTD price on the purchase agreement. More
First time buy a NEW car and it couldn't have been easier! I was recently in a pretty bad accident that totaled my 2008 Mazda 3. After seeing the 2015 Mazda 3 I knew I had to have it! I came to look at the car I was recently in a pretty bad accident that totaled my 2008 Mazda 3. After seeing the 2015 Mazda 3 I knew I had to have it! I came to look at the car on a Saturday and unfortunately they didn't have the exact car that I wanted. Upon hearing that they didn't have it I thought that I would have to go to another dealer. That was not the case! Michael W. was able to locate the exact car that I wanted and got it sent down to the dealership within a couple days! (The car was originally on a ship and within a few days I was driving it!) On Tuesday I headed up to the dealership and was greeted by Steve C., who ended up handling all of the final steps because Michael was working with another customer and I had to get the car that day. After a few words with Steve I was helped by Crystal in the Finance Department. This is usually the part that I dread, but Crystal was very personable and made the process much more pleasant than I was used to. After the financing was taken care of I had one more thing I had to take care of. I drove an Enterprise rental car up to the dealership and I obviously wanted to drive my new car home so I asked Steve if he had any suggestions. Steve said that there was an Enterprise a few blocks away and that he would gladly drive the rental car over there, all I had to do was follow and turn it in. When we got back I did a quick walk around the car with Steve and noticed two small scratches on the bumper. Within 5 minutes, they were buffed out and I was on the road! -All in all, my car buying experience couldn't have been more pleasant. Everyone that I dealt with was extremely helpful and professional and made everything so easy. I love my new car and I owe it to these guys for getting it down to their dealership so fast! I want to sincerely thank Crystal C., Michael W., and Steve C.! You guys are awesome and I truly appreciate all the help! More

I arrived at the dealership shortly after work and met Steven in person. The paper work was all ready and the car was washed and full of gas. We were made to feel like family. From the beginning to the end Javier was very thorough and let me know all about my vehicle of choice, the Mazda 3. He made comparing each model very simple and I left with a 2015 Mazda 3 I touring in black my one and only color choice. Negotiations were very breezy and I feel like I got a great deal for a fantastic car. I'm very happy with my experience and Javier was so friendly and easy going, yet still informative and very concise. I will definitely recommend Javier and John Hine to anyone looking for a new car!
