Great Car Buying Experience Our overall experience was very good. We had Gilbert as our sales rep and he was very nice and knowledgable. Gilbert did not use any high pressure sales techniques on us and he made the experience a pleasant one. We ended up buying a 2016 CX-5 Touring. The only downside of our experience was the lady (can't remember her name) we talked to about the warranties and such. She was nice and didn't really pressure us into getting any add-ons, but she used the typical technique of telling us the price for packages in terms of monthly fees instead of just telling us the overall price for certain things. I know this is how all car places operate but it's still annoying. My husband had to ask like 3 times for her to finally just say the actual amount. The only thing we were possibly interested in adding was a security system. This woman told us that the dealership had installed alarm/security systems on all their vehicles because they had some thefts from the lot, and that if we wanted to keep the alarm we could for a price. So the obvious question was, "is there no alarm standard on the vehicle?" We asked this and she flat out told us "no"! I thought that was a little odd for a brand new vehicle!!! We decided not to pay for this alarm/security system and then went on our way. As we were getting into the car, Gilbert (the sales rep) said something about the security system on the car (the standard one), and I later looked it up on the computer and a security system does come standard on the vehicle! It may not be as high tech as the one the dealership installed but we flat out asked if there was ANY security system on the vehicle and this women said "no". Other than that though, everything was great! Just don't fall for their warranty/add-on talk!! More
