As a family we make our As a consumer, when you are trying to decide who, where, and when to do business with a company, it can be overwhelming. As a family we make our decision by considering three points, 1) the quality of the product, 2) the service after the purchase, and 3) the people who work for the company. We have been purchasing vehicles from Heart City Toyota now for about six years and, we can say with confidence they exemplify the highest quality in each of these areas. As a young couple, my husband and I owned Chevy, GMC, Ford, and even Honda cars and trucks. Then about 14 years ago we purchased our first Toyota. The quality of the Toyota vehicles we have owned throughout the years far exceeds any other vehicle. (One of our sons is still driving our first Toyota.) We've owned a Camry, 4-Runner, Tundra, and now our most recent purchase was a Corolla. The engine on every Toyota car has been exceptional. Our most recent purchase, the Corolla, was to replace a 94' Camry. The Camry had 258,000 miles on it. The engine still ran like a top. We would have kept the car except that it needed some body work done on it and we do not have the skills to do what was needed. So, in regards to quality of the product, we have found none equal to Toyota. In regards to service, Heart City's Service department has been great with us. It doesn't matter whether we are bringing in one of our newer Toyota's for general maintenance, or one of the older vehicles. The Service manager and technicians have always been upfront, honest, and very helpful. One of the things we have appreciated is that they go over with us what really needs to be taken care of at that time, and tell us if there are other things that would be good, but not necessarily needed immediately. This doesn't happen every time we go in. Most of the time the vehicles simply need the scheduled maintenance. However, one time we needed a new air filter, and they allowed us to make that decision. Another time they told us we might want to begin thinking about getting a new battery in the next year. They understand that it is helpful for people to be able to budget and plan ahead, and they respect their customers enough to give them the information they need without an ounce of pressure. We also used the service department for new tires recently. There is another place we had purchased tires at before but, we called Toyota to see if their price would be comparable. Not only were they comparable, I think they were around $50 less. Finally, the people who work at Toyota - Wow, what can we say...they are honest, trustworthy, truthful, fair, professional, and hardworking. We have found them to be everything we could want. We have purchased all of our vehicles through the same sales person, Eric Miller. Eric has been fair and faithful with every single purchase to help us get the best deal possible. For example, a year or so ago, my husband had a GMC truck that was truly "a clunker". We knew we had to do something and he was hoping to get a Toyota Tundra. We had been watching for a used Tundra. One day we were driving past the Heart City lot and they had a used Tundra parked out there. We stopped and were looking at it. Eric came out to help. He asked us questions about what we were looking for, if we had a trade, etc. Then, even though it was more work for him (car salesmen know how much work that cash for clunkers deal was) he was able to get us into a new Tundra (w/the cash for clunkers and rebate available at that time) for what a used one would have been...and we even got an exceptional interest rate because it was a new vehicle. With Eric's help we got a new Tundra for what the used would have cost us, all because he took the time to help us get the best deal. Eric just goes the extra mile. He thinks about his customers and their needs and does whatever he can to help them. He never rushes or pressures. He treats his customers the way he would want to be treated. There is another, older salesman who is usually there when we are there. He's great too. While we always deal with Eric, the other gentlemen and my husband talk and visit also...and that is not normally my husband. Recently the other salesman and Eric both came out and were looking at a dent we had accidentally put in the 4-Runner. They were talking through the least expensive way to get it fixed with my husband. The sales people at Heart City are exceptional. But it doesn't even end with the sales people...when we get our financing we always work with Kim. She's great! She has the perfect balance of making sure she gives you all the information you need and want, without wasting your time with lots of extra stuff. She's very personable. Our most recent purchase was a vehicle for our college age son. It is his first vehicle purchase so she took extra time to make sure he understood and was comfortable with every aspect of the loan. In the six years we have been dealing with Heart City Toyota our experiences have been exceptional, positive, and professional in every way. We don't know a single person on their staff outside of coming to service or purchase vehicles, and yet they treat us with the utmost curtsy and respect. They treat us like a friend. We could not recommend them higher. More

In addition, I work at a local radio station and when they took me to the loaner car someone had set the radio to the station where I work. And I checked, it was not one of the pre-set channels on the car. Its the small touches like this that make Heart City stand apart from any other dealership in the area. When I picked up my vehicle Andy filled me in on some issues they had found when they were working on the car and were able to provide me the prices for the additional work. They were completely upfront and honest about how critical the issues were and about how long I could go without making the additional repairs. The day after my service work I received a phone call from Jim asking how the car performed and if I had any questions or concerns about how the car was working. I could happily say that I had no issues and was thrilled with the level of excellent customer service and workmanship on my vehicle. I will absolutely go back for the service on my vehicle from now on! More
Heart City Toyota is excellent! We have been going there since at least 2005 and have owned Toyotas exculsively for many years. Heart City is fair, has good prices and employees that care. They have sponsored an event for us, they have even gone to bat for us to corporate: We recently had some repairs done on what I firmly believe was a manufacturing flaw (Sienna failing door welds...it was a known issue for Corporate but not a recall). Toyota Corporate came through with only half of the repair cost back to us (which was nice of them but not enough!). And Heart City Toyota - our local dealer - is covering the other half! When it isn't their fault at all!! This is yet another example of why we are loyal Heart City Customers! Truly above and beyond! They have been great on everything from oil changes to helping keep our preschoolers happy while we wait...and if there are ever any issues (I am a complainer - I always speak up) they listen and care...Even when I was pregnant and obviously having a mood swing - they treated my hysterics over nothing with kindness and respect. I highly recommend them for auto purchases as well as maintenance/service and body work, whether you own a Toyota or not. More
The dealership listened to what I wanted. No pressure sales. They wanted to make sure I got the car I would be happy with and also spent a lot of time on helping me find a way to finance what I wanted. M sales. My credit score is less than perfect.Everything was explained in detail and delivered exactly as they said. I am new to the area and I had concerns about a dealership I could trust. If you are a younger person, even with an excellent credit rating (Tier 1)do not expect them to treat you with respect. This dealership caters to the older crowd. I guess they think they are the only ones who are financially able to purchase a new vehicle. That is why I will not purchase a vehicle from anyone at this dealership. It is a waste of your time. They also will not give you what your trade is worth on either Blue or Black Books. There are far too many other Dealerships in Indiana to accept poor customer service from this one. More

I began having problems with the van shortly after I let the service dept work on it. I was having rear clunking problems took it to them on 4 different occasions and each time they diagnosis it different problem. The last time they stated that my rear stablizing bar needed to be replaced. Of course not under warrenty and good $400.00 plus later, come to find out all the time I had a right rear shot broken. I will never take my vehicle back to them nor will I ever recommend anyone even my worse enemies. I have spent well over $1000.00 having my vehicle repaired and when I found out what was actually wrong with it, I took this matter to the dealership and not one cared. They do not want to deal with me know. I thought about legal recourse, but have decided to make sure that everyone else knows how they rip customers off and have no shame to there game or gain. More

When I confronted Paul, he claimed (of course) that I was fully aware of the extra charge when I signed the paper. I responded by telling him in no way was I aware of the extra charge because if I would have been, I never would have bought the car. I admit that I am an inexperienced buyer when it comes to the antics of salesman from major dealers, (I had up to this time only dealt with small local dealers), but I am much, much wiser now. I know these guys think they are slick, but in reality, they lose sales for being dishonest, but I really don't think they care. I know I will never go back, nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. More
Incompetence comes to mind when I consider the quality of the mechanics at Heart City. The quality of workmanship is some of the poorest I have ever witnessed. Pathetic actually. It isn't worth the aggravation of having to return over and over and over again to have the same problems fixed. From using the wrong oil to ordering incorrect parts to ruining other parts of the car to leaving the grease all over the steering wheel I have had the worst automotive experience possible. They shouldn’t be in business. If Chrysler or Toyota had any idea of how terribly incompetent Heart City is they would pull out of there in a Heart Beat. “Heart City for Life” isn’t a feature… it’s a sentence… More
We went to Heart City because of an ad about program vehicles. We had pre-approved financing and a trade-in. They were happy to show us vehicles, but continued to pressure us about letting them handle the financing, to get us a "better deal". They totally lowballed us on the trade-in value of our car, but insisted they were not trying to "steal our trade"( a retired car salesman had warned us to listen for that exact phrase!). They continued to say that they could work our deal if we just let them get the financing for us. AND, they kindly ran our car through their car wash and put a dent in it, but of course, THEY didn't do it, it was already there! We ended up going to another dealership farther away and getting the deal we wanted on vehicle with better options and a better warranty, and THEY thanked US for our business and for coming from so far out of town!
