Untrustworthy Purchased a vehicle from Zimmerman Ford. Gave them my credit card number to hold it and to remove it from their internet site. Informed 6 hours later Purchased a vehicle from Zimmerman Ford. Gave them my credit card number to hold it and to remove it from their internet site. Informed 6 hours later that the vehicle had actually been sold the day earlier. Peculiar, during the negotiations the sales rep had to talk with "the powers to be" to OK the deal. I thought I was bargaining in good faith, they are still trying to get a better deal from someone else. Now I have no vehicle and my credit card information is being held by an untrustworthy Ford dealership. More

This dealership was awful. I had never been treated so unwanted by a dealership in my life. There were a few select people who were nice, but a majority of the staff were un-enthusiastic and didn't even c unwanted by a dealership in my life. I didn't find a car that i liked at the dealership, and even if I did, I'm not shure I would want to buy it from them. I'm a big Ford fan-boy, but I'm sorry this dealership needs to be closed down or revamped because it's giving the good Ford dealerships a bad rap. I was much more satisfied buying my Ford F150 form the Ron Hopkins dealership in Elgin. They have far better customer service and a great sales team. The Zimmerman place just isn't near as good. I recently purchased a 2011 MKX from Zimmerman Lincoln and had an excellent experience. Since I am able to purchase through supplier pricing (X Plan) I cannot comment on how the price negotiation would h and had an excellent experience. The salesman (Rich Kowalski) was very patient as I bounced between various vehicles and ultimately was able to locate the exact MKX I was interested in at a nearby dealer. On the evening of signing papers, I was in and out in less than 1 hour which is by far the shortest time I have experienced. I highly recommend this dealer and specifically Rich if you are looking for a new Ford or Lincoln. More
