Did my price shopping on Edmunds and Consumer Reports. Bought a 2011 Sienna LE. Their price without haggling was less than edmunds TMV and consumer reports "negotiate up from" price. All their cars have a Bought a 2011 Sienna LE. Their price without haggling was less than edmunds TMV and consumer reports "negotiate up from" price. All their cars have a sell for price on them that is very competitive. I also got prices from four other dealers via email. I made it clear they were competitively bidding and had one shot at it. Harr beat them all. I'm not suggesting to just go and lay down your cash without research. Do your research and then compare to Harr. The experience was low pressure, friendly and efficient. Warning.....All dealers will try to sell you extras at the time you are about to sign the paperwork. Extended warranties, simonize etc. Don't buy them. If you choose a extended warranty or accessory only buy it if it is a factory product. The reality is you cant buy extended warranties through a manufacturer. They are always some other warranty company and they are not worth it. Resist the temptation, do not give in. Also prepare yourself to pay a "advertising fee". Every dealer will get you for $300 or so in dealer advertising fee. They also get you for a document fee, about $150. Ask about these fees when you get the price. Then ask for a complete written outline of the "amount financed with tax and all fees" before agreeing to any deal. Make sure you understand everything and ask lots of questions. Don't drive into the dealer with your "trade" Cut a deal first, get it in writing. Lie if you have to about the existence of your trade. After you have a deal consider offering your trade. Know what your trade is worth. Do your internet pricing. Write it down, have your notes with you. Stick to your guns. Car salesman are slick and move faster than you can interpret. Remember, your trade is something the dealer can make a lot of money on. They usually make more on your trade than the new car you are buying. Presenting a trade at the time you negotiate a deal confuses the process and will never work in your favor. Also, never trade in a car you are still making payments on. Finish paying for it first. Car shopping is never a fun experience, but Harr was by far been the most unpleasant to deal with. There are a number of frustrations I have with Harr, none of which the general manager cared to address other than to defend the bait and switch tactics of the dealership. My car shopping began when the service department installed a recalled water pump on my 2006 Prius incorrectly, which sent me in for a scare when all the hybrid system warning lights turned on. Their marketing ploy on new car sales was successful in getting me in the door, but when advertising a price of 1% over invoice to employees of a local workplace and the sales staff is unwilling to show the invoice to the customer, it only raises red flags. I'm sure I haven't been the first customer to ever ask for an invoice based on that advertised discount. After Nate's failed attempt at high pressure sales and continued communication via email with Luis, Derek arranged for me to return later that week to work on a better price for my trade. I received another email before my return to Harr that they were "no longer able to honor prices discussed because of the crisis in Japan. But they would be happy to sell me the vehicle at MSRP." Are you kidding?! Bottom line.. there is no disclaimer on the 1% over invoice advertised discount. So even if the price being discussed was lower, that 1% over invoice price should still have been honored. That wasn't the case. They can keep their Prius and play games with someone else. Very unprofessional and dishonest! More

I went to Harr Toyota knowing their great service and fair service. I worked with Richard Thomas and he went through numerous vehicles with me finding exactly what was in my price range while getting me fair service. I worked with Richard Thomas and he went through numerous vehicles with me finding exactly what was in my price range while getting me the best deal possible. I ended up buying a 2011 Rav4 and I absolutely love it. I was a NH resident buying in MA and had a number of extra steps I had to complete in order to have my car ready to drive on the road. Rich worked with me through every step and accommodated me when I had time to do so. Outstanding customer service, great deals, and a great vehicle. What more could you ask for in a dealer? I plan on bringing my aunt there to get a car as well. Highly recommended. More
After getting the 'hard sale' at a Boston-area dealer, I had a great experience here. They explained and broke down the costs of various accessories so it was clear what made sense. The entire sale experien had a great experience here. They explained and broke down the costs of various accessories so it was clear what made sense. The entire sale experience with Dominic was focused on service, not driving a sale, which was actually a much more effective sales technique. Highly recommended, and would definitely go back. More
I went in with my husband to purchase a used vehicle. The vehicle was for me. I did the test drive. I was the person applying for financing. I was the person who knew what I was willing to pay for the vehicle and what my trade in was worth. I was disappointment when many of the questions were directed towards my husband instead of me. I was frustrated that I was seen as the second person in the deal, not the person making the deal. My experience from there did not improve. I purchased the vehicle on a Sunday. Banks are closed, registry is closed and so are insurance companies. I understand this. I do not live close to the dealer. To make a trip back to get the registration and other paper work once everything was set would be a two commute. To eliminate me having to travel back I was told the papers would be sent overnight to me first thing Monday night after everything is done. I called my bank and insurance company on Thursday to see if everything was set. When they said yes, I called Harr to find out all my paper work was still with them, they hadn't sent it out yet. You have 7 DAYS to get a vehicle inspected after purchase. It will be Saturday by the time I get the papers, if I'm lucky. This means I won't get an inspection till Monday. Let's keep going on with the not so positive experience. When negotiating the price I was not able to get them to give me exactly what I wanted for my trade in. I decide to compromise for we agreed on the amount they would send the bank to pay-off my trade in. The amount we agreed upon and the amount they sent were not the same. What would have been little money coming back to me from the pay-off turned out to be nothing leaving me with not getting what I expected. More

This was an occasion where great service came from a salesman who went above and beyond. The evening of January 14, 2011 found my wife and her 2005 Toyota Prius stranded in a nearby, very cold Home Depo salesman who went above and beyond. The evening of January 14, 2011 found my wife and her 2005 Toyota Prius stranded in a nearby, very cold Home Depot parking lot unable to start the car. It was 6 pm, I was incapacitated and the Harr service Dept. was closed. My call into the Harr Toyota sales Dept. was taken by Derek Houde, Sales Manager that evening. Derek was kind enough to jump in his own car, drive over and help my wife get the car started. He then called me on his cell phone to let me know that all was well. The world would be a much better place if there were more Derek Houdes around. More
