Experience at Hare was overall great. I rated quality of work as a 4 because there are just couple of areas I thought could be improved. From the get-go, the experience seemed to be a little chaotic and un work as a 4 because there are just couple of areas I thought could be improved. From the get-go, the experience seemed to be a little chaotic and unorganized. The Sales Associate would scurry to get a car we had requested for test drive, but then bring up something outside of the scope of what we wanted to drive (for example, we had specifically requested V-6 and not 4-cyl. for Malibu). Once we were able to drive the car(s) we were interested in purchasing, we were very much on our own in terms of familiarizing ourself with the car's features. It would have been helpful to have a brief overview of the car before taking off in it. Once we decided on a vehicle, there was SO much up/down and back and forth on the Sales Associate's part that at some points we weren't really sure he where he was going, what he was doing, or if/when he would be back. After finalizing the sale of the vehicle, we were off on our own again. Again at this point, it might have been nice for someone (Sales Associate) to give us a brief tutorial on some of the car's features. We're still hunting for and finding features on the car that I feel could have been pointed out to us. In the end, these were small details compared to the overall experience and certainly didn't leave us with a bad taste in our mouths. On to the positives, of which there are MANY: The Sales Associate was eager to answer questions, or gain answers from others on the Hare Team (this might have been part of the reason for the up/down and back and forth). He was also patient with us as we skipped around considerably (first looking at a Malibu then jumping to a Traverse) before finding the right vehicle for our family. Once we found the vehicle we wanted, Sales Manager Tony Leak stepped in to answer detailed questions about financing and pricing, which made us feel as if the team was going above and beyond to ensure that we felt we were being treated fairly. (It worked...we were convinced!) We were impressed that managers were willing to step in and interract with a sale - especially on a very busy Saturday - rather than relying on the Sales Associate to be a constant go-between between. After reaching an agreement on price/payments, we did experience a considerable wait (90 minutes or so?) before getting to the point of processing the paperwork. This was to be expected, however, as we were in on a Saturday afternoon while the dealership was experiencing a high customer volume. Fortunately, the stress of the waiting situation was alleviated by Hare's play area, in which my 7- and 3-year-old daughters were delighted to play. We eventually finalized paperwork with Finance Manager Bryan Matthews, who was thorough and efficient, and then drove off in our new Traverse! As stated, the overall experience was great. I would recommend the dealership to anyone in the market for a new Chevrolet. We will be back here for our next vehicle! More
My original reason for going to Hare was to have my Trailblazer service, which has always been first rate. Spotting a used Corvette I asked for a build sheet from a young lady at info desk. She called Lucas Duran over and a real car enthusiast relationship began. After talking casually for about an hour I told Lucas that I was just looking, and perhaps not overly serious about a Corvette, even though I had driven them in the past for 15 years. I told him what I wanted, and he said he would email or call me if anything like that showed up. Sure enough one came in on a new Corvette trade-in. After a week talking and explaining my entire situation (my wife is working in South Carolina) Lucas worked with me to give me alternatives how we could handle the situation. Some offers of car use, etc., I had never heard of a dealer doing before. Remarkable! As questions came up they answered all with percision and truthfulness. At no time did I sense in pressure or a high pressure sales pitch. All turned out well, as I purchased the 2004 triple black Corvette convertible! Thanks to all involved at Hare Chevrolet and in particular to Lucas Duran, whom I consider to be a fisrt class individual! More
I was very pleased when I went to Hare two weeks ago. Brian Eybel was very helpful with me in choosing a new car. He was very, very nice and friendly. And so was the financing guy. I forgot hir name. The only issue I had is I felt like I was being hit on by the sales rep. He called me "sweetie" and "honey". I loved the new car. I loved the service. Overall experience was great! Sales and finance were both thorough,efficient, friendly and willing to work with my schedule. Lucas did an excellent job in assisting my wife and I in the selection of a replacement vehicle for our 2006 Chevrolet Impala. My wife went looking for used minivans with 3rd row seating and didn't like the dealership treatment. By chance she was heading south on 37 and saw Hare and decided to give dealers one more try. By the time she left, she had no problem convincing me to go back the next day and meet this Fernando guy. He lived up to hype. We were so pleased with, not only the service, but the respect that he showed us that we purchased a 2nd used car on the spot. He is an asset at that dealership. He not only sold us a couple of great cars, but he also treated us like friends. We will definitely be back. More
