I have been to Hare twice and both times were disappointing. I had a minor issue where the black bowtie emblem broke off as a family member left the tailgate up and it popped off when it hit the garage door. I went and asked for a quote to repair and replace and the parts girl seemed a little annoyed to have to go outside and look at the issue. After looking at the issue, she found the part number and said it would be $60 just for the part and likely 3-4 of labor to change out the broken emblem as they would likely need to remove the silver bar that it attaches to. I found the replacement part on Ebay for $21 and it literally snapped into the silver bar and took approximately 5 seconds to snap into place. My next issue with Hare was when one of my USB-C ports in the rear of the center console went out. Shawn the service manager said that the usb-c port was "mangled" due to improper plugging in and therefore would not qualify as a warranty repair. My kids aren't super delicate, but they use the USB-c port alot and from the naked eye there was no difference between the broken port and the one right beside it. Anyways - I didn't feel like they were trying to help, rather place blame on kids that use it. They ended up giving me a quote for $246 to replace the "mangled" usb-c. When I went to pick it up, they added a $35 shop fee charge with the description that they used $35 worth of "shop supplies" to replace the usb-c. I get that there may be a "shop fee" charge, but common sense would tell you that they didn't use $35 for this job. If this is a charge for every repair, at the very least, it should've been disclosed on the quote for repair. The actual USB-C replacement part was $29 (they charged $66) so had I known they were going to add $35 I wouldv'e just ordered the part and tried to replace it myself. I'm all about supporting local businesses but when they are super greedy and don't look out for the customer, I will take my business elsewhere. I requested a call from the owner and never heard from anyone... More
I have purchased a vehicle and went out of my way to visit Hare Chevrolet. I am also shopping for a new vehicle. I brought my vehicle I purchased at Penske to Hare for work on a broken sunroof. They visit Hare Chevrolet. I am also shopping for a new vehicle. I brought my vehicle I purchased at Penske to Hare for work on a broken sunroof. They fixed the sunroof for a hefty price - over $2000. I assume this was a fair price. Shortly after, the sunroof would click when closing, sometimes skipping. It still operated. Now it has completely broken, so I took it back to Hare. After diagnosis, the service technician told me this time is was the frame, whereas last time is was the arms, and it was over $1200 this time. I challenge that they are using more of a part-change (fix the effect) as opposed to a root cause organization (fix the problem). I spoke with the service manager, nice enough, but offered no solutions, but told me the service technician did not tell me the correct story. Without resolution I will take my business elsewhere and recommend you do the same. More

It soon became clear the infotainment system did not function properly as all sound, regardless of source, cuts out intermittently. This was a known issue at the time (as I found out later), yet I was not provided with that information and therefore unable to make an informed decision regarding the purchase. After filing a case with Chevrolet, I was eventually told that the issue was software related, that a "fix" would be written by Q3 or Q4 of 2023, and that there was nothing Chevrolet was going to do about it. Fast forward to May of 2024; still no fix. Attempts by Hare Chevrolet to correct the issue have only made it worse. They now refuse to call me back or provide any information as to if, or when, I may anticipate the corrective action. The back seats have now been removed and placed back. The truck dashboard has been pulled apart on numerous occasions. Some trim pieces had to be replaced due to damage caused by the seemingly careless nature of the service, and now most of it looks like it was reinstalled by an unqualified technician. The Hare Chevrolet sales team, the Hare Chevrolet service department, and Chevrolet itself have all failed to provide a standard of service that any consumer would find to be acceptable. Don't walk away from Hare Chevrolet, run. More
