Harbor Hyundai had the best price on the Sonata Turbo model I was looking for. They also had the exact color combination as well. Other dealers wanted sticker price for their Turbo Sonatas. I had been trying to find a 2011 Sonata Limited 2.0t for about a month, working with another dealer who didn't seem to care about finding my car, when I came across a silver 2.0t on Cars.com and reached out about a month, working with another dealer who didn't seem to care about finding my car, when I came across a silver 2.0t on Cars.com and reached out to Harbor Hyundai. I received a prompt email from Mike Casalegno after my internet inquiry so I gave him a call and discussed pricing over the phone. We came to a very good price and told him I would be down there that evening to look at the car, test drive it and if I liked it hopefully purchase it. From the second my wife and I pulled onto lot we were treated great and at no time were Mike, Ken or any of the other Harbor Hyundai staff pushy or did we get the typical salesman vibe. Mike was working with another client, so he introduced us to Ken Bundy who helped us. Ken was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle, and took us on a test drive on what felt like a test track around the Long Beach airport area. I was able to really test the cars acceleration, handling and braking during the drive. Once we got back, I love the car and decided to go ahead with the paperwork and purchase the car. The sales and financial process was as smooth as silk as well. There was no bait and switch or arguing over the the agreed price Mike and I had discussed over the phone (which had happened to at another dealer when we purchased my wife's Santa Fe). They did their very best to make sure we were comfortable, offering us snacks and beverages. I also was very happy that Harbor Hyundai agreed to take my trade-in, matching the number I was quoted at CarMax. Ken was extremely thorough in walking me through all the little bells and whistles the vehicle had to offer, so that by the time I got behind the wheel I felt like I knew everything there was to know about my Sonata. When we got into Finance, Jim was a pleasure to work with and again at no time did we feel like he was being a "typical" salesman. Even when there was a minor glitch involving the VIN number of the vehicle on the paperwork, Harbor Hyundai was very apologetic and went to great lengths to make the process painless and comfortable. After taking care of all the paperwork, it was off to the car to do the final walk through of all the features and the in's and out's of the vehicle. Ken was so great to work with and showed us every little feature on the car. He took the time to help me pair my iPhone with the car's Bluetooth system, walked through all the various stereo features, etc. By the time we drove off the lot, I felt like I knew the car like the back of my hand. Even when we got home, and had a minor issue starting the car due to some problem with the alarm, Mike was extremely helpful. I called Mike at midnight and he drove out to me from Long Beach to Anaheim Hills just to help out and get things moving again. It's rare these days to find sales people and customer service reps that will go to those extremes in order to make the customer happy. I know I would not have gotten the same personal attention from the dealer we purchased my wife's Santa Fe. All in all the experience I had with Harbor Hyundai was the best, smoothest and painless car buying experience I have ever had. I will most definitely be referring all my friends and family who are thinking of getting a new car in the future to first come to Harbor Hyundai. I even plan on bringing my car to Harbor Hyundai in the future, even though there is a much closer dealer to my home and work. Thank you so very much Ken, Mike and everyone at Harbor Hyundai. Once again for Bill Ortiz, This guy is GREAT! Like the others listed here I had been searching for months for the car I wanted. One of the first things that impressed me was the fact that if you find a car that you like online from them you can "MAKE AN OFFER". When you click on the link it takes you to a dialog box that you think you are going to have to put in the usual information. AH...but look closely and you will discover there is one thing missing (this was brilliant guys) NO PHONE NUMBER space. Nope the only way they can contact you is to email or you call them. No more phone calls when you don't want them. The price on the car 2011 sonata 2.0t was by far the best that I had received. The whole deal was done online and quick. When my wife and myself went down to get the car my poor wife was in the middle of having a hay fever attack and even had her tissue box with her. I could have left her there and the guys would have taken very good care of her. We came in at 6:30pm and were out at 8:00pm or so. There is a GOOD REASON these folks get 5 stars. PS....my floor mats were missing and with my wife being sick I wanted out fast. the next day Bill made sure I had my mats NO QUESTIONS ASKED. You be up front and they are up front. Again YOU GUYS ROCK!!! More
The serviec was outstanding. Tom set up test drives for us and reviewed all features of the vehicle. We were able to work out a satisfactory price and the car was prepped for delivery before we left the de us and reviewed all features of the vehicle. I left Quality of Work and Price section N/A because work was not an issue nor was price. I believe price only becomes ann issue when the sales staff is not professional. I spoke once to the manager on duty and he equally was as well. Eric, who I spoke to on the phone first and who assisted me with the purchase of my car was great in all aspects of his job. He seems like he is an asset to your company and Im sure is a great employee and I will be recommending anyone wanting a Hyundai to him and your dealership. So "why" the rating, well anybody or any company can be good, but we all know good is not enough anymore. In order for a company or person to succeed in today's world they / we have to strive to be great, and great was Eric and the entire staff we came in contact with and also the cleanliness of your dealership.
