Great Experience I live in Northern California and have been looking for a Hyundai CPO for a couple of weeks. I wanted a Genesis with a light interior and looked at a couple in Northern California but the dealers either didn't have what I wanted or didn't seem very interested in doing business. I found Harbor Hyundai as I was searching for CPO inventory. Harbor Hyundai had a Genesis that fit my criteria. It was a 2012, silver with a cashmere interior, premium package, and low mileage. I received a call from Mike Casalegno and I told him of my reluctance to purchase a car over the internet without looking at it. He assured me that it was in perfect condition with just a small defect on the bumper which was covered with touchup paint. I asked him if the price was negotiable and he said he had to ask his manager. He came back with a price that was very competitive and agreed to update the maps on the GPS unit. I told him I would take it and gave him a deposit over the phone. I also told him I wouldn't be able to pick it up until over the weekend so I booked a flight on Jet Blue. To make a long story short, I flew down to Long Beach Airport, Mike picked me up from the airport and brought me to the dealership. I met the finance manager and did the paperwork. In and out in less than an hour with my 2012 Hydunai Genesis and on my way back to San Francisco. The car as exactly as described. Mike was very easy to work with and I would recommend any looking for a car at Harbor Hyundai to contact him. More

I looked at True Car to get an idea of the value of the car(s) I wanted. I set a reasonable budget. One I could afford and one rationally backed by KBB and True Car numbers. I researched the heck out of the car(s) (used and new models considered), and knew it would meet my needs. I set a list of "honesty meter" questions that I knew the answer to, to see how the salesperson would respond. I walked away if they failed to be honest with me. This brought me to Ruben at Harbor Hyundai. I was upfront with what my needs and expectations were, and I was upfront that I wanted my money and my business to go to an honest salesperson, backed by an honest dealership. Ruben and the dealership treated me with kindness, respect, honesty and integrity. This is where others failed, and I did not hesitate to walk away. I highly recommend working with Ruben and the Harbor team. I highly recommend doing your research beforehand, to be honest with yourself and know what your needs, your budget and your expectations are so that the Harbor team can help you get the right car. The best compliment I can give a new car dealership is that I never met a closer (the "manager-that-just-wants-to-meet-you" who ends up being the rudest person). This was the first time I bought a car that I only talked to one salesperson, and he was very nice. Mike was professional, listened to what I wanted, gave me time to think. And, then, he was fast and got me out of there quick when I was ready to buy. Mike did not play any games. He was straight-up kind and professional. In addition, Mike and (and whomever was behind the scenes) actually honored the initial price that they originally said they would sell me the car for. Wow. And, it was a great deal. Furthermore, Dave, the finance salesman, was extremely respectful of my wishes. He sold professionally, and ultimately helped me buy the car as I wanted it, with or without the options as I wished. No uncomfortable hard pressure sales (like I had experienced in the past with all of my other car purchases at other dealerships). More
