I bought my car from this dealership and exclusively get it serviced there as well. Today I went in for a regular 45k check. I have been having problems with my oil consumption and have discussed this with it serviced there as well. Today I went in for a regular 45k check. I have been having problems with my oil consumption and have discussed this with Scott Jones previously. Scott was always so helpful and never spoon fed me any dealership BS. Before today I have always felt like the dealership wasn't too bad of a place to wait and the customer service was exceptional, I wasn't talked down to as a woman. Until today. I brought my car in at 9am for my appointment with Bradley. I explained to him that I have been having issues in the past with my oil light never coming on, as well as the check engine light. He explained that measures need to be extreme to have the lights come on and if there is oil starvation and the engine is working the light won't come on. I told him about my past experience with my car burning oil for no reason and of it stalling and shutting off while driving, caused by no oil in the engine. His response, "I'm not sure, maybe that's just how Hyundai designed it" I responded with "dangerously?" he laughed. Told me my car is probably fine and he will make sure they do an inspection to please me. I told him that I had started an oil consumption test before and I know the piston oil rings were not heat treated properly. The solution he came up with was to dismiss the 45K check up and just do an oil change. I was waiting at the dealership and he said it would take up to 2 hours. I didn't mind waiting. I could go into detail about having doubts of how the coffee machine was cleaned adequately, how the music was the same 5 songs on repeat and how there weren't snacks of any kind. But hey, I chose to wait. That's on me for staying. 3 hours later Bradley came to me to tell me "Apparently, this a bigger problem than he thought" (no duh, I told him that 3 hours ago when I handed him the keys to my car.) He went on to explain to me everything I had already told him as if he had never heard it before. I let him finish explaining and said "yes, I know." He made it a point to let me know that his co worker told him to keep me here longer than 2 hours because they weren't sure if they were gong to need pictures of the engine. He took no accountability for keeping me in the dark. Another 2 hours later my car was ready to be taken home. I will admit I was hungry, and tired from waiting 5 hours for what was supposed to be a 2 hour max. Bradley told me what was going on and how a consumption test worked, even though I requested it and explained what it was that morning. I asked for his card because he did not display it on his desk like the other representatives, he reluctantly handed it to me. I asked for his manger's card as well and he flat out said,"the manager doesn't have a card and probably isn't here today." I had waited 5 hours for an oil change and for this man to figure out I was correct and needed an oil consumption test. I let him talk down to me all day and re-explain everything I had already explained to him. I was not going to leave without a manager's card. I looked at him so politely and calmly said,"I waited 5 hours, I can google this place and find it myself or you can give me the manager's card. You choose." he told me "Okay no reason to get upset I'll see if he is here." Obviously the manger was there it was 3pm on a Wednesday. The manager gave me his own card along with his boss' card. Bradley asked his manager if they could take care of my oil change and they did. I did not ask for their cards to get a free oil change, I wanted to be spoken to like a person. Having Bradley talk down to me, telling me the problems I was having with my car were “normal” that my car was designed to stop mid traffic and stall. I knew what was wrong with my car when I handed Bradley the keys at 9am, I understand that everything needed to be re examined but I did not need to be spoken down to. The customer service Bradley provided was the worst. More
