The service air bag warning light 7-31-2015 Dear Service Manager, I dropped my 2004 Chevy Pick-up at your service department on Wednesday day. The service air bag warning light was on, and I assumed it should be checked by a dealership. I bought my truck from your dealership, and thought it made sense to bring it to you. At this point, it was an opportunity to address a few other items that I have neglected. Here is what I asked the service rep to check into. My oil gage was not working, my speedometer was not working, the air bag service warning, and I have an interesting glitch in my air conditioning that needed to be looked at. I left Thursday afternoon, $580.00 lighter. Here are a few of the things I would like to tell you. The oil gage is still broken. The speedometer is still broken. The service air bag light is still on. I am saving the best for last. Up until my visit, my air conditioning worked great. The interesting glitch that I mentioned was this. About one out of every ten times I turned on the air, it would blow hot, instead of cold. The remedy for that was to shut off the ignition and restart the truck. It worked every time. Now, after my visit to Harbor Chevrolet, it blows hot air 100% of the time. Every item I asked about, apparently takes a separate $119.00 dollar diagnostic test. This seems a little suspicious, but that is partially my fault for being suckered into it. The mystery is the air conditioning fiasco that you have left me with. How is it possible for Garth, or your mechanics could hand me my truck back, and not at least mention that they made my truck undriveable, unless I am in the Arctic Circle? $580.00 seems like a fantastic amount of money to make a $1,100.00 dollar vehicle, go down in value. So now I get to bring my truck back for another run around, or just walk away like the sap you made me feel like. My next car/truck will be a Chevy, but it won’t be bought at Harbor Chevrolet. I get little to no satisfaction out of telling this story to everyone I can. But, I will. Along with Yelp and seeing what help I can get from the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs I give up. Ok experience They wouldn't budge much at all, but at least they beat the last few competitors prices. All their sales people kept saying ohhh well my manager says no on this or no on that, but not once did the manager come out to talk to us or wheel and deal, I guess thats what their minions are for. But they said hes supposed to be some famous guy from car commercials way back in the day with the slogan Los Esperamos. Ya los esperamos so we can take your dinero. They gave me a rookie salesman, and waited around for hours even though I told them I was interested in the vehicle, did my credit check before I came in and was ready. After all the run around it was an ok experience. They had to do a dealer trade and they took forever on that, and when the salesman brought it back he was boning out through the parking lot. Not exactly they way you should treat my vehicle. Their lounge where you wait had no cream or sugar for coffee and their vending machines were broken. Once you buy you never hear from them again. If they actually returned a call, I would actually refer. So maybe small dealerships ISNT always the way to go. I got the vehicle I have searched all over for, so I guess I cant complain. But Jerry promised to call me back on deals for accessories that I am interested in for the vehicle, it turned into crickets. More
