I was planning on purchasing a new Hyundai palisade and was told they charge a $4500 dealer markup. I will be passing on this dealership for all future Hyundai needs. was told they charge a $4500 dealer markup. I will be passing on this dealership for all future Hyundai needs. More

They gave me one key fob, then lied and told me they were going to send me the 2nd one. 4 years later still no fab after multiple requests and being given the run around. Finally had to escalate it to Hyundai corporate and they are working on getting the problem solved. Also when. I bought my Santa fe, I picked the jungle green color and when I get there to pick up the car. They roll out a silver car and say that there was an issue getting the green one there. Gotta love the bait and switch tactics Now, flash forward to May 2023. Brought my girlfriend in to buy a Tucson because they had a "sale" going on. They advertised a price, then when they gave us the out the door price they added nearly $5,000 of extra's like the (Happy package and nitrogen for the tires) and claimed that they couldn't be removed and we had to purchase them as well. We went to a different dealership after, got a lower price on the same car, then called to get them to honor their "low price guarantee." They tell us they can only honor it on the white car. Not the same color that we had asked for. They had no interest in being honest or treating their customers fairly. Bottom line, never doing business with Happy Hyundai Oak Lawn again. We went to Ettleson Hyundai in Countryside, IL and worked with Jose who gave us an amazing deal with no xxxxxxxx fees or add ons and he even ordered my girlfriend a cargo cover for free because her Tucson didn't come with one. Jose even offered to get my scratches on my Santa Fe, touched up. Can't beat that customer service. So in case I wasn't clear enough, skip right over Happy Hyundai on your car search and go anywhere else. More
Don’t fall for anything from this corrupt dealership. I was told multiple times they are selling at MSRP with no hidden fees, required add ons or markups. They assured me they do not have any of the above. After driving an hour and wasting 2 hours of my time with the sales person. They come back with 3 required add ons to purchase the vehicle. I showed them the text from the sales person Micaiah who lied. They didn’t care at all that they had hidden add ons that I was told they didn’t. More
I’ve never had an experience like this. They will not discuss pricing over email/ online chat. We went in to discuss the trade in value for our car. The KBB instant offer was $13,100 and they then only offered us $11,500 when we went in. They then showed us a monthly payment sheet. The car we wanted was $27,800 and after the trade in and feed, they said we’d still have to finance $23k. I went home and realized that’s weird. I emailed and asked how the finance amount could still be that much. The salesmen hasn’t responded and when i inquire anyone else about it, they said they’ll get back to me and never do. Sketchiest dealership I’ve ever worked with. More
Not an honest dealership. They sold me a car for over $8000 that needed almost $4000 in work and didn’t tell me about it. I only found out when the brakes started to fail 4 weeks after purchasing and had to take in for servicing. I made a BBB complaint. Someone in management contacted me and said if I sorted out the title issues with the car I traded they would discuss helping me with repairs. I managed to sort out the issues. They cut me a couple of checks that amounted to around $350 but my car needed almost $4000 in repairs. When I called back and asked they changed their tune and said the cars are sold as-is. They’re a bunch of liars who want your money. Look elsewhere for a car. More
The dealership says they provide 100% transparent pricing; however, they refuse to give you a quote unless it's in person. Why even have an internet sales department then? pricing; however, they refuse to give you a quote unless it's in person. Why even have an internet sales department then? More
Carlito was honest enough to notify me that the car I was interested in, even though it is still listed in their website, is "basically sold-out" since people have already put down payments on them. If only interested in, even though it is still listed in their website, is "basically sold-out" since people have already put down payments on them. If only other salespersons were that remarkable, there won't be so many bad reviews about them because it is a waste of time just to travel miles going to the dealership only to deal with unscrupulous salesmen. He promised that he will give me updates. More
Tried to buy used 2015 Sonata but they wouldn't let me test drive at highway speed...sales man said the car is not ready for sale....this after he let me drive it around the block...said I needed to apply test drive at highway speed...sales man said the car is not ready for sale....this after he let me drive it around the block...said I needed to apply for a loan first...this was a cash deal....my only question is did they know something was wrong with the car???? Classic false advertising. I drove 45 min to get to this dealership because I saw an ad for the car I wanted online and the price I wanted. The time came for the paperwork and they tried to add a $3000 happ dealership because I saw an ad for the car I wanted online and the price I wanted. The time came for the paperwork and they tried to add a $3000 happy package of nonsense that the salesman couldn’t even explain and then another $1588 for VIN window etching and a tire and wheel package. basically get you in for an advertised price then add another $5k when they think you’re not looking. When I said I didn’t want to pay for them, they took off the happy package but wouldn’t budge on the $1588. They said it was because they were already done and it had to be there. Rude salesman and very pushy. Would definitely not recommend and I will tell everyone I know about this experience. Horrible. More
