I had never stepped inside this dealer ship before june 2009. I had gone by it thousands of times to work. When i went in I met Ali who greeted me with a big smile & introduced himself with a handshake. He was friendly, down to earth, answered all my questions & concerns. He backed up all his promises & two days later I had my new truck. I was taken on a tour, met the guys in the service dept. He has followed up with two phone calls in the first week. I have to go back for my 1200 mile oil change next week & I am sure it will be as pleasant as my purchase. I will go up & see Ali when I am there. More
I was very happy with the help I got at Handy's, they were very helpful and very friendly, not just the person I was working with but the whole staff. Also, Handys beat the next best price I was quoted by a few hundred dollars (not exactly small potatoes, especially in today's economy I can better spend that money elsewhere!!!!). Kyle Palmer set up my first service appointment, and he was also very professional and answered a couple technical questions I had about my new rig. It's great that Handy's is open for maintenance on Saturdays -- that way I won't have to disrupt my work day to get routine maintenance done! Overall, my experience with Mike, Kyle and the whole Handy team was outstanding, and I highly recommend this dealership to any car buyer. I'd be very surprised if you are not very satisfied with how you get treated. More
My Aunt recommended Handy's to me years ago after she bought her Prius. After shopping around, I also chose to work with Handy's (Heritage is a mile down the road from me, Handy's was a 40 minute drive bought her Prius. I had what seemed to be an impossible task for them - I wanted the 2010 Prius as soon as it was released (sharing one car with my husband wasn't working out anymore...). Mike Boomhower worked with my husband to accomplish this. We got the car we wanted within the time frame we needed. Thank you for all your hard work - we love our new car! More

I was pleased to see that I was given the space and time to look over any and all vehicles that I was interested in before being approached. That's the first reason why I was pleased with my visit is that I didn't feel pressured and wasn't pounced upon by sales people. But on the same note Mike was able to sense when I was interested and when I was ready to ask some questions. Mike is an extremely friendly, personable,and humorous sales person and VERY knowledgable. There was not one question that Mike couldn't answer for me and it was ACTUALLY fun working with him. He really worked with me on pricing and deciding on the right vehicle....but without the pressure. I felt like I was really being taken care of in every aspect of my visit but not because he just wanted to "take my money" but because he truelly cared and wanted to make my experience a good one....but he didn't....he made it an unbelievable experience. I've never referred a sales person before when shopping around only because I've worked in sales before with the public and know how important customer service is and I honestly never worked with some one who I felt was worth being referred to....until I worked with Mike. I am extremely happy with my purchase and will always remember my experience at Handy Toyota but more importantly....Mike. He/Your dealership will definitely be the place I refer people too. There was no 'how much a month' or 'what's it going to take to buy today' conversations. The salesman Doug was very thorough, but not pushy. He took his time to be sure I understood everything. After buying I met with the owner and took a tour of the service department and met the service manager. Then they gave me several very nice gifts, an embroidered blanket and travel mug, not a cheap gift. My gas tank was full too. These folks do not skimp. I was later asked what they could do to improve the experience. If there is anything, I can't think of it. More
There are limited Toyota dealerships within a 30-mile distance of home - 3 to be exact - so my first preference was to use the closest dealer: Heritage Toyota. This left Handy's and Courtesy Toyota in Montpelier. Courtesy couldn't be bothered to call me back despite 3 phone calls and two e-mails which left Handy's. Tom Young was professional and straightforward. He always returned calls and didn't overly persist and press me on why I was not buying at that very moment. I have lots of questions by nature which can be annoying to some, but Tom took it in stride. This was important as I changed the truck I was looking at mid-way through after learning of Toyota's great lease deal on a Tacoma double-cab. Although Handy's did not have the truck color I wanted in stock, they quickly rounded one up for a minimal fee. In a stroke of irony, they got it from Heritage. Overall, I did not feel like I was being screwed on price, blinded by fuzzy math, or given options I did not want. It was a general feeling that they valued my business. More
I had a very good experience helping my Mother in Law purchase a new Camry from Handy Toyota. I usually buy cars on line or out of State to get the best price but this time Doug at Handy Toyota gave us a purchase a new Camry from Handy Toyota. I usually buy cars on line or out of State to get the best price but this time Doug at Handy Toyota gave us a price that was better than I could find elsewhere. Additionally, local service will make it very easy for my Mother in Law who lives a couple of miles away from the dealership. Doug had to find the exact car we were seeking, brought it in, installed the rear spoiler and had it ready on time. I did the entire transaction over the phone and my Mother in Law is thrilled with her new car. Thanks! More

I just bought my third Prius during the Toyota lease rate/rebate promotion in April. I picked Handy's because I wanted a hybrid and I wanted to support a local dealership in my community. Well as luck would have it, Handy's has been everything an owner could desire from a local competent friendly and customer service oriented neighborhood business - All with competitive pricing and the best of can do attitudes. Expect a smile, an answer, honest respect, a great deal and excellent service thereafter when you buy from Handy's; you'll be back for another the next time you need to buy or lease a vehicle! They deserve a 5, becauce they are a 5 star dealership. More
