This review is for Hamilton Mazda Service. The sales department is EXCELLENT and extremely friendly. Highly highly recommend and I would absolutely buy my next car from them. HOWEVER -- Hamilton Mazda Service is a joke and a bunch of crooks. If those mechanics worked for me they would all be fired. I'd rather have a small honest staff than a full staff that lies and tries to pull one over on you. Read full review of issues they try to sneak on you if you are not a "car person." I have been getting my oil changed at Hamilton Mazda since I've owned the car (2014). Since then, FIVE TIMES NOW Hamilton Mazda service has told me something is dramatically wrong with my car and needs to be fixed immediately...A little background with me - I've been working on cars since a kid and this topic is not foreign to me. However, they offered free oil changes for life with my car so I go for the oil change. But let me be clear, that may be the ONLY thing they are qualified to do. Maybe... The first time they told me my timing belt was bad and needed replacing...at 50,000 miles! (wrong) There's was no sign of cracking and now at 136,000 I'm still running the same belt. The second time they told me my brake fluid was bad and needed bleeding and replacing. (WHO CHANGES BRAKE FLUID? NO ONE! It's a closed loop system designed to hold pressure. And why wouldn't you suggest changing my pads at that time?) The third time they told me my throttle body was extremely gunked up and needed a full cleaning. THERE IS NO WAY YOU pulled the throttle body apart during a routine 30 min oil change. My closest buddy works as a Mazda mechanic in another state and even said that. Checked it my self and it looks brand new and clean as a whistle EVEN deep inside. The fourth time they told they told me ALL OF MY FILTERS were bad and needing replaced. I JUST DID THEM 5,000 Miles ago - did you even try on that one?? The FIFTH AND FINAL TIME they told me my brakes were bad and need replacing sooner than later. Odd I thought, I just replaced them last year. But I went with it and asked for them to give me a measurement on all of them. They came back in 10 minutes - First - how did you get a measurement in 10 minutes flat? The 2014 Mazdas require you to pull the tires off to get a measurement. Also, they said all of the pads were all at 3mm. Wait. Wait...3MM???? That would mean they at or near grinding!! But I suppose it's possible they are that low. So, not wanting to take chances because I'm driving to NC later this week, I went home, pulled the wheels off, pulled the calipers off to change them. Every brake pad had OVER HALF ITS LIFE LEFT!! Do you guys even try? Did you ever notice that my front sway bar links were broken and suggested replacing them? NO YOU DIDN'T BECAUSE YOU DON"T ACTUALLY LOOK AT THE CAR! I'm so sick and tired of Hamilton Service trying to take advantage of your customers. I'm glad I have sense and know my way around cars. If something was "so dramatic" then why do you let me walk every time? If it was that bad, you would require a waiver signing. And trust me - if it ever got to the point where I needed to sign a waiver, I would require for that mechanic to show me exactly what is wrong. Everyone reading this - Hamilton Mazda tries to pull one over one people to get money. DO NOT FALL FOR IT! More
After looking for a car for over a year,I found a certified used 2020 Mazda CX-3 online. I called and spoke to Mike Wills, who couldn’t have been nicer.
