I have always serviced my old mazda with the dealership. Gifford was my point of contact during the sales process of my cx5. Had 2 rear brakes/rotors and 4 new tires installed. Also a wheel alignment. Fair price and vehicle works fine since the service. The salespeople and finance people were nice and easy to talk to. They were not pushy, and the dealer only charged one dealer fee (a $399 document fee, which is about average for NJ). Other dealers charge nonsensical destination fees (a scam if it’s a used car), dealer inspection fees, $200 for VIN etching, etc., so it was nice to not get hit with random made-up fees. The finance lady was nice as well and was not pushy on getting an extended warranty. These warranties are usually scams since it covers so few parts and finance people usually receive about half of the price you paid on the extended warranty as a commission ($875 on a $1750 5 yr warranty). Within 20 hours (50 miles of driving) of buying the car, I noticed there was a serious check engine issue, and I was really upset, but the dealership was able to schedule an appointment immediately to fix my car and they provided a similar loaner car for free. The buying process was great because they offered me an interest rate more than a full percentage point lower than I was expecting to get. The mechanics were also extremely nice and did a great job finding me a loaner car at the last minute. The only issues I have is that the mechanics should have done a better job at examining the car before it was sold to me and also, it would have been great if the dealership had better working hours. I wish dealerships were open for longer hours and also on Sundays. Also, it’s a bit annoying how the only person who does body work is only available on Thursdays. More
