I brought my Toyota Avalon in for an oil change yesterday. Simply enough. When the service was completed, I was handed a free inspection report to which the Service Advisor indicates my air and cab yesterday. Simply enough. When the service was completed, I was handed a free inspection report to which the Service Advisor indicates my air and cabin filter were dirty, suggesting they should be replaced. Really? This morning, I performed my own inspection and found both filters to be very clean, and the cabin filter looked almost brand new. So where's the dirt? Unfortunately this web site doesn't have the ability to post photos that I have to show proof the mechanic and possibly others were trying to scam me. I wonder when he was alive if Lee Hamer would encourage the service team to exploit customers? I doubt it or else he wouldn't have had a successful business for several decades. Question: Do you think I'll be taking my car back for service at Hamer Toyota again? No way! More
