I bought a new Toyota and the finance guy insisted I write a separate check for $400 and he deducted the $400 off the total price. Weird by I did that. A week later I receive a call saying I did NOT pay write a separate check for $400 and he deducted the $400 off the total price. Weird by I did that. A week later I receive a call saying I did NOT pay the $400. I check my bank account and that check did not clear (nor did it bounce - it is not acknowledged anywhere by my bank) so I put a stop payment on the check, go out of my way to go back to Hamer Toyota and this time I put the $400 on my debit card so there is no more "lost check". Now, one more week after this, I receive a letter in my mail saying I still owe the $400 and now they will attach a $1500 penalty on top of the $400 plus some extra fees. I flip out and write a letter to Toyota Corporate, who in turn calls me immediately informing me they will take action. Today this idiot Fred King at Hamer Toyota emails me saying he did not check the payment records before mailing me the threatening letter demanding nearly $2000. I will NEVER buy a car at Hamer Toyota again. They are completely incompetent. More

I bought my 2007 Camry from this dealer and have been servicing it there since then. Why? Not because they're cheaper than everyone else (they're not) but because of our service adviser, Sam Quintanilla. servicing it there since then. Why? Trustworthy, polite, and he doesn't rip us off by suggesting services that don't need to be done. In fact, he saved us money by having us report our defective moon roof to Toyota, who sent us a check for half of the repairs we needed to make to it (it's not named as a defect, but the roof was not properly installed). Sam's great, he's the reason why we get our car serviced there. More
