Our founder Lee Hamer started this company on April 19, 1939 as an automobile general service and repair station on the corner of Sepulveda and San Fernando Mission Boulevards in Mission Hills. With your help and continued patronage Hamer Toyota has continued to grow into the state of the art Automotive Dealership we know today!
Mr. Hamer has won many awards for his charitable contributions to the community as well as for his impeccable reputation for honesty, integrity, and fairness. Lee was very active in the San Fernando Valley including the development of youth, sports and welfare projects that have greatly benefited our community. He was an active community leader in the Mission Hills Chamber of Commerce, served two terms as President of Los Angeles Fire Commission in the 60s and was a founding member of Holy Cross Medical Center Century Club. Lee was the recipient of the Fernando Award in 1989. The most prestigious award that can be earned, for philanthropic and charitable works.
Over the years he has been an automotive dealer for Hudson, Studebaker, Mercedes, Citroen, Volvo, MG, Triumph, Fiat, Renault, Borgward and Datsun. In July of 1965 we became an Exclusively Toyota Dealership. Mr. Hamer sold an average of about 10 cars a month back then. Today the Dealership average is closer to 500 cars a month and we are among the top 3% of Toyota Dealers in the nation.
Lee Hamer passed away November 15, 1995.

I cant thank enough Tony Pijuan, who helped me a lot with my purchase. Absolutely amazing person and sells consultant, with so much energy and passion in what he is doing. He wasn't afraid spend time with me, provide with so many dilates I needed to know when it comes to such a serious step in your life . I got really lucky, and definitely will recommend this dealership and specifically Tony to any of my friends with no regret! I absolutely positively think - the success of any dealership based on professionals like Tony for sure. You don't have passion in what you doing, you don't have a success! I live in Texas and was trying locate a 2013 tacoma x-runner. I spoke with Josh on the telephone and he said that they had one so I told him I wanted the truck but the soonest I would be able to get to x-runner. I spoke with Josh on the telephone and he said that they had one so I told him I wanted the truck but the soonest I would be able to get to California would be 2 weeks. He said that was not a problem he would put a hold on the truck until I could get to their dealership. The x-runner is being dropped from the tacoma line in 2014 so these trucks have become very hot items. I was not asked to put up a deposit to hold the truck my word was good enough. In these times it is nice to find a person and a dealership where your word is still good. More

Albert was by far the best salesperson I have ever met. Buying a car is not a one two step and there is a lot of decision making involved. He was very understanding that buying a car is a big decision and walked us through everything with full details. He was very professional and I'm glad I got him as our salesperson because when I don't feel a vibe with someone who is trying to sell me something, I tend to walk away.
