Our founder Lee Hamer started this company on April 19, 1939 as an automobile general service and repair station on the corner of Sepulveda and San Fernando Mission Boulevards in Mission Hills. With your help and continued patronage Hamer Toyota has continued to grow into the state of the art Automotive Dealership we know today!
Mr. Hamer has won many awards for his charitable contributions to the community as well as for his impeccable reputation for honesty, integrity, and fairness. Lee was very active in the San Fernando Valley including the development of youth, sports and welfare projects that have greatly benefited our community. He was an active community leader in the Mission Hills Chamber of Commerce, served two terms as President of Los Angeles Fire Commission in the 60s and was a founding member of Holy Cross Medical Center Century Club. Lee was the recipient of the Fernando Award in 1989. The most prestigious award that can be earned, for philanthropic and charitable works.
Over the years he has been an automotive dealer for Hudson, Studebaker, Mercedes, Citroen, Volvo, MG, Triumph, Fiat, Renault, Borgward and Datsun. In July of 1965 we became an Exclusively Toyota Dealership. Mr. Hamer sold an average of about 10 cars a month back then. Today the Dealership average is closer to 500 cars a month and we are among the top 3% of Toyota Dealers in the nation.
Lee Hamer passed away November 15, 1995.

Good company to buy a car. We used to buy car at keyes.. But Hamer offers a better deal than Keyes Toyota on blackfriday sales event. So, we decided to check them out. The place is very clean.. staff are accomodating, free water, coffee.. Theres a little play area for little kids, The guy who assisted us, Marvin Haney is honest, very nice, straightforward and very helpful to us. He's far better than our previous salesman at keyes. We are very pleased on the 2015 Toyota Corolla S premium. We had a great experience at hamer! More

Trust and Integrity Got a call from Bianca as I was walking into another local dealership. I told her I was intending to buy there, but if things did not work out I woul Got a call from Bianca as I was walking into another local dealership. I told her I was intending to buy there, but if things did not work out I would call her back. Thirty minutes later (after very poor experience at the other guy), I was sitting in her office and met Steve Denson. I liked and trusted this guy from the beginning. Sometimes, you just have to trust your instincts, and my gut told me this guy was honest and had a great deal of integrity. I left shortly afterward with a new car!- Great Guy- Great Service.
