Our founder Lee Hamer started this company on April 19, 1939 as an automobile general service and repair station on the corner of Sepulveda and San Fernando Mission Boulevards in Mission Hills. With your help and continued patronage Hamer Toyota has continued to grow into the state of the art Automotive Dealership we know today!
Mr. Hamer has won many awards for his charitable contributions to the community as well as for his impeccable reputation for honesty, integrity, and fairness. Lee was very active in the San Fernando Valley including the development of youth, sports and welfare projects that have greatly benefited our community. He was an active community leader in the Mission Hills Chamber of Commerce, served two terms as President of Los Angeles Fire Commission in the 60s and was a founding member of Holy Cross Medical Center Century Club. Lee was the recipient of the Fernando Award in 1989. The most prestigious award that can be earned, for philanthropic and charitable works.
Over the years he has been an automotive dealer for Hudson, Studebaker, Mercedes, Citroen, Volvo, MG, Triumph, Fiat, Renault, Borgward and Datsun. In July of 1965 we became an Exclusively Toyota Dealership. Mr. Hamer sold an average of about 10 cars a month back then. Today the Dealership average is closer to 500 cars a month and we are among the top 3% of Toyota Dealers in the nation.
Lee Hamer passed away November 15, 1995.

Steve Denson is phenomenal I found the new car I wanted through TRUECar and locked in the price. Steve called me within minutes and told me to come in. I definitely had a tough I found the new car I wanted through TRUECar and locked in the price. Steve called me within minutes and told me to come in. I definitely had a tough case. I was upside-down on what I owed on my leased car and the car had frame damage among other damage from 3 accidents in 3 months (surprisingly none were my fault!) Steve didn't hassle me. He explained everything, offered me a great trade in value on my beat up car, secured the locked in price from the internet and told me what my payments would be. I had been to 4 other Toyota dealerships during the week who constantly changed the price of the vehicle and jerked me around. Steve was honest and efficient. I am completely happy with my new vehicle and highly recommend Steve Denson to everyone! More

NOBODY BUT NOBODY BEATS HAMER TOYOTA! I can't say enough about Rafael Morales and EVERYONE at Hamer Toyota.
