Consumer, Thank you for the review. We’re sorry if you felt like our prices were high for the tire repair and that we should not have failed your vehicle. According to the Virginia State Police Manual, any tire with a cut or puncture into the fabric is considered unsafe, and the tire must be replaced or repaired for it to pass the inspection. Plugging a tire from the outside is not considered a safe tire repair by Toyota or any tire manufacturers. So, a thorough tire inspection is required to safely repair your tire because not all unsafe conditions are visible from the outside of the tire.
