I chose Hgreg because they have multi point inspections that they do on their cars and the prices appear much cheaper online. The car I wanted to look at had a dead battery, But the manager had a mechanic promptly replace the battery so I would be able to take a look at it. I am just glad it died before I bought the car and not directly after. Dealerships often like to make the price seem lower to get people in, then raise it up with fees, and Hgreg is one of those. my car had $3,000 worth from a service charge fee and what appeared to be like a phony cleaning/preparation fee. They also stated at the start that these are non negotiable. It is a bit disappointing to think you found a good deal and then realize it’s not but I stuck through because I already knew what the car was worth before I came in and the extra fees brought it up to what I would have likely payed at a different dealer. My advice is don’t come to Hgreg thinking you will get a good deal based on the internet and listing price. But it’s still alright if you don't mind paying about what you should pay. I was also underwhelmed by how the interior of the car was cleaned, they probably spent like 5 minuets cleaning it and I had to do some extra cleaning once I got the car home. Other than that, the salesman was friendly and the manager was nice and involved. My confidence that I bought a good car with no issues is about as good as it can be when buying a used car. The exterior of the car looked like it was in great shape and almost looks new. Hopefully it continues to run smooth. More
Absolutely horrible experience. The representative doesn't care about making the experience of buying a vehicle enjoyable or worth it. It's actually a worse experience than going to the doctor when your sick and the doctor never even makes eye contact or examines you. Instead, they just type into the computer. The car was dirty, never cleaned for presentation, and absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. I know the vehicle was on the markets for at least two to three weeks. There is no excuse for not having the vehicle presentable by the time I set a date to FLY TO ORLANDO FL FROM DENVER CO. In fact, immediately after we bought the car, we didn't even drive it off the lot when the vehicle started making an incredibly loud sound with the AC on. They didn't even bother to check and see what it was and instead told us to take it to a dealership in CO. As of today, I have been waiting for over 4 MONTHS for this dealership to release the title to my bank so I can put plates on my vehicle, and I am still waiting. As far as the cost, on the website it was at a fantastic price point that ultimately drove me to fly out to buy it. We have another 2019 Hyundai Kona Iron Man already, and this one at hgreg was about two thousand dollars less with about the same mileage and same package. However, once the papers were drawn up, the fees were exorbitant and the vehicle ended up costing even more than the first Iron Man we bought, and that was before any add-ons like mechanical warranties.my final conclusion of this experience: don't ever come here. It's not worth your money, time, or the headaches after you leave the dealership. Instead go literally anywhere else where they will at least take care of the car before they put it on the lot. 100% the worst experience and dealership I have ever been to in my life and I will be making sure to write more reviews on every possible website to warn people of the scam-like experience that hgreg provides.
