It's one thing to do defective mechanic work. We all make mistakes. It's another to brazenly persist in trying to sweep it under the rug, when there are other mechanics who are witnesses. They've spent more mistakes. It's another to brazenly persist in trying to sweep it under the rug, when there are other mechanics who are witnesses. They've spent more resources fighting to get negative reviews taken down than it would take to simply do the right thing, all to take advantage of an elderly man. If you do go here for service work, make sure all of your conversations are recorded, and have other mechanics look at your car before they destroy it here. Thankfully, I recorded all of our conversations. We paid $3,700 for them to work on our Jeep's cooling system just for it to come back with unprecedented issues. The "check oil" light suddenly started coming on, but we couldn't even check the oil because the dipstick was stuck. Neither of these issues existed before they touched our car. We have witnesses (including mechanics) who can attest to this. We took the car back to see what was going on, and the engine started "knocking." Technicians (including Neil) said that a faulty oil pan has caused engine failure, by way of low oil pressure. They told us the only fix is an $8,500 new engine. Neil wanted me to believe that the oil pan and dipstick issues are totally coincidental, bearing no relationship to each other or the work that they did. These are the childish tales that they weave. When I pointed out that we have witnesses and I'm not scared to file a lawsuit, he put me in touch with "service manager" Chaz. After dealing with Chaz's deflections for days, having to shoot down one lie after another, they finally admitted that they installed the oil pan incorrectly, and the dipstick got caught on it. But that's where their honesty begins and ends. Once it became their responsibility, Chaz changed their story. According to him, the incorrectly installed oil pan has nothing to do with oil pressure or engine damage/failure, contrary to what his other technicians said. He's now arguing that the engine problem is caused by an entirely unrelated issue that they had never bothered to mention before. Mind you, we paid hundreds of dollars for a diagnostic before any work began. Isn't it funny how these issues didn't manifest then? Again, I recorded ALL of this. When they thought they could pin the issues on us, the only fix was an $8,500 new engine. Literally the next day, after I punctured their lies, Chaz told me that he fixed it just by correctly installing the oil pan and replacing the dipstick they broke. The car's not fixed, y'all. Chaz lied and said that the car was running well when he told us to come pick it up. The truth is, the engine is still "knocking" and feels like it could break down at any moment. In one conversation, Chaz told me that the engine could last another 8 years. In another conversation--minutes later---he said it could last 2 months. The reality is that it might not even last the week. Other mechanics have said that the engine could explode at any minute. To this day, they continue trying to maximize their earnings on these misdeeds. Chaz said at one point, essentially, that anyone can be convinced of anything (again, recorded). That says a lot about his how he operates. It also says a lot about the m.o. of this place. Their business model seems to be, "Catch me if you can." Our car was sitting there for almost a full week while they figured out the oil pan/dipstick/engine issue, without fixing it. Although they've admitted their fault, they haven't provided a rental or loaner car at any point. I mentioned this to Chaz, and he didn't even acknowledge it. What's more, other people at this dealership proceeded to call us to try to sell us a new car after we paid them $3,700 to mess up ours. When we said no, they persisted. Anyone who truly thinks that's normal or acceptable needs Jesus. I'm sure there are good technicians here whose backbreaking work is exploited as they're underpaid. But clearly, someone (likely the owner) is pocketing a lot of ill-gotten money and even the service manager cannot be trusted. More
Brian Foster was so easy to deal with. Mr Foster was not your average sale person as he was not push and did make us feel like he was out to scam us like most car salesman. He stayed late and never got upse your average sale person as he was not push and did make us feel like he was out to scam us like most car salesman. He stayed late and never got upset while we we negotiating. He was even so kind to go out in the rain storm to move my car closer so I didn’t get so wet. He would definitely be someone my husband and I would buy from again. He gave us five star service. More

I was passing through ATL on vacation heading back to Florida when my alternator went out in my Gladiator. It was a Saturday and after calling about 8 Jeep dealerships in the area and other auto places looking for help, no one was willing to help with my situation trying to get home until I finally got a hold of Gwinnett CJDR. When most places told me they were booked through till September or that I had to schedule an appointment even though I was stranded with my family, Gwinnett CJDR came through and allowed me to drop off my Gladiator that next Monday to jump the line, evaluate my service issue, and order my alternator to install it Tuesday and get me back on my way home to Florida with my family. I dealt with service rep Jeffery for the most part who was very professional even when we had a slight disagreement on some warranty coverage specifics. I then ultimately consulted with the service director, Chaz, who after some further discussion, was very respectful to my concerns and came through in the end of our conversation to ensure that I incurred no costs for my repair. If I lived up there in Stone Mountain, I would for sure use Gwinnett again for maintenance on my vehicle. But regardless of where I live, I’m thankful that the staff at Gwinnett CJDR were reasonable and understanding enough to assist me when I needed it most and get my Jeep back up and running as quickly as possible.
