Love my new VENUE! I know car buying can be stressful, it does not have to be if you go to Gurnee Hyundai. I took several different vehicles on a test drive found the I know car buying can be stressful, it does not have to be if you go to Gurnee Hyundai. Very pushy. Would not tell me how much they wanted for the car until I signed a paper saying that I would buy the car based on how much I wanted my payments to be. They came back with an offer that priced the car until I signed a paper saying that I would buy the car based on how much I wanted my payments to be. They came back with an offer that priced the car $2000 more than sticker price. I had to get loud before they would go back and give me another offer. It took over 5 hours to buy the car. The finance person was nice until we decided not to take the extra insurance. He became very rude. I had to ask how much the car was and what my interest was going to be. His response was "you know what your payments are." Would never buy a car there again. More

I'll never go to a dealer after this experience. I went to look at a car advertised for $9500. The initial experience was great, friendly and helpful. The car was as advertised, no surprise here eith I went to look at a car advertised for $9500. The initial experience was great, friendly and helpful. The car was as advertised, no surprise here either. The problem occurred when we started to negotiate. i thought, if the car is $9500, i figured i might walk out paying $11,000 or so. Mike Lemm the salesman brings an itemized bill for over $14,000. Price included something called "conditioning". I quickly did a search and found the Illinois used car sales tax rate is 7.25%, or $688 assuming a $9500 car, the dealer was charging us $1200+ in taxes. Very dishonest. This dealer is not trust worthy. Awful experience. i'll use Carvana next time. JC More
