We ma This was one of the worst experiences I have had a any dealership. My wife and son and I stopped in to test drive two cars that he saw online. We made a specific trip to this dealership to check them out. After driving both we ended up settling on a much newer and more expensive car. We began asking questions about extended warranties and negotiating on prices. After a few minutes, the salesman stopped dead in his tracks and slid a piece of paper across the desk asking for a signature! He wanted us to sign that we would in fact purchase the car if we agreed on numbers. I was insulted. I told him that we wouldn’t have come out on such a cold and rainy day and been sitting here talking “numbers” if we weren’t serious about purchasing a car! I told him i was not signing anything! He kept insisting it was “their process” and that I had to sign because thats what his manager wanted him to do. The vehicle listed on the paperwork wasn’t even the right one. I refused to sign. The debate when on for a few minutes before a manager walked over and told him to get rid of the incorrect paperwork. We continued the negotiation and agreed on a price. I told the salesman that we had already secured financing and did not want to finance through the dealership. He assured me that they could tell me the rate I would qualify for based on just a “soft” inquiry that is required by the government when purchasing a car anyway. I told him that I didn’t want my credit hit more than once. He assured me that it would only be the one inquiry. We waited for 30 minutes before they were ready to close the deal. We went into the finance office and were told that the best rate we could get was 5.59% with myself first on the loan and son secondary. I told him we would not be using them because we had already secured 2.5% with my son as primary on the loan. He offered to check with other banks and I stopped him right away and told him I didnt want my credit hit multiple times. He agreed to have us sign the 5.59% paperwork and give us 72 hours to bring in the check from our preferred lender. He said he would then tear up the dealer financing paperwork. All seemed well and good. I brought a check to them the following business day. They shredded the dealer financing and I was on my way only to find out that they actually ran my credit 8 times with 8 different banks!! This was deceitful business practice and beyond appalling. I called the dealership 3 times and sent three emails. John, the general manager, The finanace guy, nor Milton the salesman, would field or return a call about our concerns and attempts to rectify the situation. The salesman even told us he would look for one of the missing parts from the car but never got back to us despite repeated attempts to contact him. Worst dealership I have ever dealt with! We felt that our negotiations got us a good deal on the car but I will never return to this dealership for anything! More
