I have a Honda, 21 years of age. The Gunn Honda Company has consistently provided exceptional service, in all areas, to keep the car running consistently in its top capacity. This pride in both quality of customer and product service, and the care, provided by Gunn Honda employees towards both car and customer, starts from the time one sets foot outside their car, and, well, just never stops. This practice has remained constant throughout all the times I have had the car serviced there. As an example, I was ready to drive my car back, when the blower motor quit. I would not have noticed, but one of the employees did, promptly brought my attention to it, and then worked the repair time back into their schedule. This was the Green team, headed by Sheila and John. While waiting for that engine part to be replaced, Curtis and Brice of the parts department went over the appropriate fluids, etc. that would continue to be applicable to a car of 21 years. After learning from their expertise, I asked the employees at Quick Service, to check and replace one of the fluids if needed, and these employees readily stepped in to continue to provide to the already noticable quality of service given. They did all this and more. They repaired the window tint and mirror coverings. The staff at Gunn Honda is familiar with each car, and remembers both the customer and said car from visit to visit. This approach to service is started by the welcoming staff both outside, and inside, the dealership, and sets the bar of expectations at a very high level, which each department meets, thru a high degree of coordination, communication and cooperation, from start to finish, seemingly effortlessly, each time I have brought the car in. The Gunn Honda Company should be noted for the example and pride of both service and product, towards the cars and customers of Honda. More
I would not drive the 20 plus miles to get service on my car if it wasn't for her. She takes care of me and my car. When I was on a trip recently and had problems in another state I went to a Honda dealer car if it wasn't for her. She takes care of me and my car. She gave me some questions to ask. I didn't like the answers so I brought my car back to San Antonio and had Gunn fix it. I knew it was going to be done right. I also like working with a woman. I dropped by Gunn Honda recently for routine maintenance and Phillip Kotrola has been my go-to point of contact since I bought my car from this dealership. As always, Phillip conducted himself with the utmost professionalism and courtesy when working with me and the customers immediately before me. In my humble opinion, I think Phillip's people skills and quick thinking make him an asset to Gunn Honda. In terms of an applied example (beyond routine maintenance) that stands out in my memory, I recall having odd, audible vibrations in the engine bay of my Honda and wasn't sure what it was. I searched the internet to see what the range of problems could be and, more practically, how much it'd cost to fix. What I found online wasn't good news: drivers of similar vehicles with the same problem could not resolve the issue at their respective Honda dealerships. Upon dropping by Gunn Honda to inquire about the vibrations, Phillip greeted me within a minute of pulling up to the service station. Phillip carefully listened to me as I spoke about the engine vibrations and, with prior internet findings in mind, I nervously watched to see what his reaction was. Without skipping a beat, Phillip said "Oh, you might have a broken motor mount. I'll check it out". Within moments, Phillip took my vehicle to the service station and the repair was complete within one hour's time - very fast turnaround considering that I also had an oil change and tire rotation. It turns out that the motor mount was, indeed, broken. The new motor mount eliminated the vibrations I encountered earlier and the replacement cost was covered under warranty. I'll definitely be back! More
If the goal of the Gunn Honda dealership was to prevent me from getting oil changes at their dealership....it worked.....Using their express service it took me 2 hours to get just a oil change. Will never me from getting oil changes at their dealership....it worked.....Using their express service it took me 2 hours to get just a oil change. Will never do that again. It is always a pleasure to bring my 2008 CRV in for required service. There is no is no pressure for puurchasing extra service like other dealers in San Antonio.
