Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in a car dealership. Severely disorganized and incapable of performing the most basic of tasks. Their incompetence and unwillingness to communicate w in a car dealership. Severely disorganized and incapable of performing the most basic of tasks. Their incompetence and unwillingness to communicate with my financial institution has damaged my credit. If you go, expect to spend several hours for everything, be it sales or oil change. Hoping Sewell will be better. More
I would like to share the unpleasant car buying experience I went through with Grubbs Acura of Grapevine on November 20, 2021; and to warn you to stay away from the Sales Consultant Vitaliy Malyshc experience I went through with Grubbs Acura of Grapevine on November 20, 2021; and to warn you to stay away from the Sales Consultant Vitaliy Malyshchak and this dealership. I was taken advantage of due to poor English, cheated and treated like garbage. I specifically chose to go to this Sales Consultant as my English is very poor and knowing that Vitaly speaks my birth language would help with the buying process. I spoke to Vitaliy few times over the phone, giving him the necessary information about the car I was looking for and my budget. Very quickly he came back with a few offers that were in my budget, and scheduled an appointment for a test drive. I went to the dealership on Saturday, looked at the offered cars and made a decision to buy. After the test drive, Vitaliy assured us that everything is good, showed us to the Finance Manager office, and left us to wait until we will be called. At this point, I didn’t sign any papers yet, and was sure the car price will be the same as given by Vitaliy during the verbal conversation few days ago, which matched the MSRP price on the sticker. It took a while until the Finance Manager, Alex, finally called us. As he was giving us papers to sign, it was hard for me to follow the conversation. The main two things I requested is that financing terms to be for 72 months and that I wish to pass any additional services. I couldn’t understand all the numbers that I was seeing but trusted that my wishes would be honored. I was hoping Vitaliy will be there with us, translating and explaining. It was the reason why I went to Grubbs to start with. No final signed papers or proof of purchase were given to us. We left the dealership, and it wasn’t until next day that I realized that I paid way more than what originally we discussed. On Monday I contacted Vitaliy requesting the copies of all the signed papers. They were finally emailed to me on Wednesday. First I noticed that the financing terms were for 78 months and not 72. The MSPR jumped from the promised $30,045 to $35,285. The dealership also added 3 Service Contracts for the total of $6,826 (which I specifically requested not to be added). I understand that there are required fees, but I overpaid by $12,066!!! How did initial price of $30,045 ended up over $48,000??? I felt discriminated, insulted and devastated. I went back to the dealer ship the following Saturday with an English speaking friend, wanting to break the deal. We asked Vitaliy how the price jumped when we discussed the details and he was well aware of my budget. He said that people are in the line for 2+ month now days, and that people pay $12,000+ over MSRP price to get into the car. When I asked why he didn’t tell me this upfront, he became rude and aggressive. No one is deserved to be talked in such inappropriate way, and no one is allowed to take advantage of people that don’t speak and understand fluent English. I asked to talk to the manager. It took a while before he came back taking us to the General Sales Manager Jacob Taylor. My friend explained what happened and asked how come we left the dealership a week ago with the car and no copies of the documentation. The Manager was prepared, and handled the copies to us. He pointed out to the signed forms that showed $5,240 being added to the original MSPR price of $30,045. I studied the forms, and there were 2 where my signature was forged. I was in shock. When I brought this fact to Mr. Taylor, he dismissed the matter saying that these papers are not really that important and it’s the final papers that close the deal. After further back and forth, the only thing they offered was to cancel the 3 Service Contracts that should reduce the Financed amount by $6,826.00, however it is going to take 30-60 days to process. SCARY! Stay away from this place! More
