I took my 2019 F150 King Ranch to the shop because it was shifting hard and down shifting.6 days later they said we need to replace the transmission $11,000. I told him not at this time next thing you know I shifting hard and down shifting.6 days later they said we need to replace the transmission $11,000. I told him not at this time next thing you know I get $220 bill for telling me the transmissions acting funny. then he told me don’t trade it in here. We don’t want it. Thanks, Niko More
My service advisor was friendly, but unfortunately Maxwell Ford performed sloppy and dishonest work. I went in for an oil change. I was told in a summary that my F150s lug nuts “ARE SWOLLEN AND NEED T Maxwell Ford performed sloppy and dishonest work. I went in for an oil change. I was told in a summary that my F150s lug nuts “ARE SWOLLEN AND NEED TO BE HAMMERED ON AND OFF, REPLACED WITH NEW ONES” for $270. This simply isn’t true. They were swollen a bit, yet, If you know anything about cars you’d know that the lug nuts, while slightly larger than they used to be, could easily be removed using a different socket size. There was no dramatic hammering needed. In addition, they left my engine’s air intake filter box unlatched, causing a rattle every time I started the engine and also preventing the air filter from sealing properly, allowing air contaminants to be pulled into the engine. I found this oversight myself when troubleshooting the rattle sound. I simply don’t trust a shop for major fixes when small things, like properly latching the air intake box isn’t done properly, or they’re trying to push absurd lug nut labor charges onto me. FYI Discount Tire removed my old lug nuts for free- no hammering needed. More
