Had to buy a vehicle, because an arthritic hip was making it difficult to use the manual shift in my truck. I absolutely DREADED the prospect of the usual dealership experience: high-pressure salespeople, it difficult to use the manual shift in my truck. I absolutely DREADED the prospect of the usual dealership experience: high-pressure salespeople, the back-and-forth game of negotiating, and the devious tactics employed by the finance department of adding onto your already agreed-upon purchase/trade-in deal. I contacted Groove Toyota because my internet search showed them as the only dealership in over 100 miles that offered a 2012 RAV4 in the Pacific Blue color that I wanted. Well, Groove Toyota proved themselves to me as an anomaly in the sea of car dealerships. We handled most of the transactions via email, phone and text. I made an offer on a new RAV 4 with my 2007 Tacoma as a trade-in. My offer was accepted, the dealership sent a Purchase Order to my credit union the next day, and I had a check in-hand for the car. The salesman, Kevin Bonds, even offered to drive the 50+ miles south to my location ON HIS DAY OFF in order to complete the transaction without my having to drive up to the Denver area. WOW!!! Customer service is lacking in almost all businesses these days, but it is certianly alive, well and THRIVING at Groove Toyota! Kevin, his boss Brendon Carlson and the Finance Manager all actually listened, were very straight-forward, low key and yet extremely efficient. As I had business in Denver, I ended up driving up to Groove Toyota to complete the purchase/trade-in deal. I asked Kevin to have the paperwork ready in hopes of soemwhat reducing the usual 6 hours one has to spend at a dealership to close. I WAS ONLY THERE FOR 1.5 HOURS before driving home in my brand new car!!!! I do hope I don't have to buy another car again, but if I do, I would certainly make the 58 mile drive up to Groove Toyota. Hands-down, this was the smoothest, easiest car purchase EVER and I'm glad that I can trust Groove Toyota to be honest and fair while providing superior customer service. Kevin Bonds should give salesmanship and customer service lessons to the folks at Toyota of Colorado Springs! More
CJ was my agent, and he was very knowledgeable and professional and nice. I felt a genuinie integrity from him, unlike most car salesmen I have encountered. I bought a 2008 Prius as a surprise for my daughter's 21st birthday. I think he got as much enjoyment out of it as I did! He took the time to answer all my questions, show me ALL about the car, and was even available when I worked with Julie in finance, who by the way, was also terrific. She knows her stuff! And she got me a better interest rate than was originally quoted!! I left feeling like I had known CJ and Julie for awhile. I recommend them both. More
After taking an appointment at the dealership to go testdrive a car, the sales agent was not present, and was attending to other customers. I was then after waiting for over 30 mins told than another s testdrive a car, the sales agent was not present, and was attending to other customers. I was then after waiting for over 30 mins told than another sales agent would assist me, which did not happen for another 20 mins, after which I left. Highly unprofessional sales, and if this is how they treat new prospective customers, this is definitely not the dealer to give your business, especially when there are many other Toyota dealers in the Denver Market. Highly dissapointed. More

Our experience with Groove Toyota has been excellent from the start. CJ has been very nice to work with. He patiently listened to our needs and worked out the best deal. He and John Reis worked out all the d the start. CJ has been very nice to work with. He patiently listened to our needs and worked out the best deal. He and John Reis worked out all the details every step of the way and provided us with all information we needed to make a decision. The leasing process was handled very smoothly without any hassles. We were able to take the car in a very short amount of time with our choice of color and model. We love the Toyota Rav4. Thanks to CJ for making this one of our best leasing experiences! More
Ultimately, I wouldn't recommend buying a car here. This is my story: BUYING THE CAR: Went there after seeing an ad the salesperson put up for Totyota Matrix, I specifically told him the only reason I w is my story: BUYING THE CAR: Went there after seeing an ad the salesperson put up for Totyota Matrix, I specifically told him the only reason I was trading in my Toyota Prius was because I needed to be able to haul a cargo trailer and drive in the mountains. Jason said this would be "a great car for us". It was a 2005 but only had 33K miles on it. We test drove it around the neighborhood (first mistake, should've taken it further) and then when we sat down to crunch the numbers it got a little messy. They gave us a pretty good deal on our trade in, but not what we were looking for but we felt like the price of the new car was so good (mistake #2, if its too good to be true, it probably is). They told us that they bought it at auction but it only had 1 owner and gave us the car fax which was 3 pages long (mistake #3, should've walked away then, too many services appts). We drove away with the car that day with APR financing that was 3% higher than we got from another dealership 2 months later. AFTER WE BOUGHT THE CAR: In the two months we owned the car, we had to bring it in for service 5 times. The brakes started squeaking the 2nd day we had the car....we brought it in for service and they "cleaned off the brake dust". They squeaked as we were driving out of the service department, we turned right around and they serviced he brakes again but the brakes continued to squeak for 2 months. They said there were nothing else they could do. The airbag light would come off and on and we were told this component wasn't covered by any warranty and would be at least $60 out of pocket, just for the diagnosis. Jason told us it had "new tires" but we had to put air in the front passenger tire 3 times in 2 months, sounds like a slow leak to me. THE FINAL STRAW: We were driving the car over I-70 to Vail and almost got run over by huge trucks, since the car wouldn't accelerate past 40 MPH, the transmission was slipping and revving to 7K RPM. The service manager said he "took it for a spin on the highway" and that he fixed the problem. He said the "computer had to be adjusted since the car used to be at a lower altitude". When we mentioned towing the service person he said "You can't tow with this car" . I then I went back into the sales department and talked to Jason Katz about how unhappy I was about the performance of the car in the mountains. I said to him "I don't know how Im gonna tow a trailer through the mountains with this car". He said that I "COULD tow with it but it wasn't really meant for towing". I explained the only reason I traded in my Prius, which can't tow, is that I needed to tow a trailer. He stated that he showed me the towing capacities in brochure the day I bought the car (blatant lie ) and then proceeded to present to me the Matrix 2012 brochure. Remember, I bought a 2005, not a 2012. Interesting enough, there is NO information in the brochure about towing. Ultimately, you can tow up to 1500 lbs with this car, however, not through the mountains, since you would need a V6 engine to do so. Also, the smallest sized UHaul Cargo Trailer weights 850 lbs empty. The problem here is that we contacted Jason to sell us a car that towed into the mountains. Jason was deceptive and omitted important information about the car. If I had known these capacities, I would've never bought the car. THE FOLLOW UP: The next day I went to the General Manager and told him I would've never bought this car if Jason didn't convince me that it was perfect for my needs: which are to haul a UHaul trailer filled with heavy cargo (books and records). The General Manager Rob Edwards, said, "Well you need a V6 for that'. I explained I wanted him to take the car back, and give me a fair price for trade . He offered me $12,000 in trade (I paid $13,999 without taxes and fees, so I would be loosing $1,999 for driving it for two months). He suggested I check out the Rav-4 with V6 engine, which would be a good match for what I really need and he would "take care of us" on the price because they did wanted to make us satisfied with our purchase. Jessie, the sales manager showed us a used Rav 4, in our price range, with a V6 engine, it was a 2009 with about 20K miles on it. The first stop out of the parking lot the brakes squealed. I though "Are you kidding me??". It was comical at that point. We went back and Jessie was suggested we should test drive a Brand New 2012 Rav 4 and could give us a great price. We said we were more interested in going to a new dealership and trying to trade in the car they sold us somewhere else. We ended on a good note, after test driving the Rav 4 2012, we decided it wasn't the car for us and since they didn't offer anything else in our price range that would meet our needs, we left and took the deal that another dealership was offering us. Ultimately, we still ended up loosing the $2,000 since the other dealership only gave us $11,500 for our trade in (The 2005 Matrix), but we LOVE our new car, The Kia Sorrento. More

He was not pushy at all, and I felt like he was my advocate on finding and purchasing a vehicle. I had been to six other dealerships in my quest, and Rob was by far the best representative I worked with. Groove Toyota was very decent throughout the entire process, their courtesy and friendliness extends even now after I have paid and driven away. I highly recommend them, and two of my friends are already setting up appointments for themselves! More
