A JEEP manufacturer’s automatic update failed. It resulted in the radio/mapping/gps unit failure and a battery drain even when the ignition was off. It was referred to as “Error 20” and was on my display. I took my 2018 Grand Cherokee in to Griffin’s, told them it was Error 20. Over the next 3-plus frustrating months I brought it to Griffin’s four times, leaving it for 7-11 days each time, spending $503. Finally they told me I could 1) commit $1-2,000 for more Trial & Error, or 2) trade it in as-is for $10,000 less than it was worth, or take it somewhere else. When I said they could continue to work on it but I might involve Consumer Protection or the BBB. They then told me they didn’t like my attitude and they refused to fix it. I needed pick it up and take it elsewhere. Griffin’s told the corporate customer service people I was working with that my car was “repaired and returned to the customer”. That was a lie! After months of ineptness, charging me $503, they returned a car with a failed radio unit and a continuing battery drain, exactly as it was on the first time I brought it to them. There was no “repair” just a $503 charge and months and months of aggravation. I took it to John Amato JEEP. They ran a diagnostic, coordinated with the mfg customer service rep who sent out a new radio. Amato JEEP installed it. Total cost $0 because the problem was caused by JEEP and their faulty update. I now have a proper radio unit and no longer a battery drain. Question: Why was Griffin’s Hub so inept, so arrogant, so insistent on doing it their way over and over with no results? I would not recommend anyone take even a scooter or tricycle to Griffin’s Hub. Just Say’n More
I noticed my Jeep Grand Cherokee was leaking fluid so i made an appointment for service. I dropped my car off at 7:20 am on Thursday. They did not look at it until 1:15 on Friday. by 1:40 they had diagn made an appointment for service. I dropped my car off at 7:20 am on Thursday. They did not look at it until 1:15 on Friday. by 1:40 they had diagnosed the problem to be a leaking power steering hose. I was told at this time that they could not order parts until Monday - at 2 pm its too late to order parts? they can not fix and i do not have a car to drive until maybe Monday if they can get the parts. If they would not have taken 29 hours to look at the car they could have ordered the parts and i could have had my car back before the weekend. Simply awful service. More
I was in a major time crunch. My company car was due to be exchanged in 15 days. Management decided to eliminate our fleet and create a new program. It took them an additional 10 days to finalize their r be exchanged in 15 days. Management decided to eliminate our fleet and create a new program. It took them an additional 10 days to finalize their reimbursement plan, leaving me about 5 days to find a new car. They set all sorts of new policies making it most difficult to find a vehicle during COVID. I needed new wheels quickly and with the global parts shortage was desperate. I'm a senior executive and needed something appropriate. Jeff came through with a fully loaded Chrysler 300. Four door sedan, all wheel drive, hands free, lots of style... To speed things along he brought the car to me for the test drive. We agreed on a price quickly. Ruben had the paperwork ready when I came in and it was done in a quickly. While finishing of a few signatures, the crew portered the vehicle. I couldn't ask for a better experience. More
Had my Ram in for service including replacement of the fluid in the rear differential a couple days before driving to SC. After noticing an unusual noise and strange feel from the rear end at the end of t fluid in the rear differential a couple days before driving to SC. After noticing an unusual noise and strange feel from the rear end at the end of the trip, I brought it to a SC Dodge dealer to check on it. They explained that Griffin Dodge did not add a required fluid to the differential oil as needed, and this would eventually cause serious damage. The fluid was added which I paid for along with the inspection fee. I was assured by Griffin’s Hub that I would be reimbursed for the charges. This was over a month ago and I still haven’t seen a check as promised. More
Son drops off car for body work. I advised son to take his buisness elsewhere if he's not given a loaner vehicle. I personally know owners and managers with dealerships past 25 yeas, they not only lie, th his buisness elsewhere if he's not given a loaner vehicle. I personally know owners and managers with dealerships past 25 yeas, they not only lie, they can loan out any vehicle they choose too. My sons not given a loaner yet decides to still have work done. Promised day of finished repair 5 days later, not done. Told another 5 days and guess what, no loaner. Tge body shop manager or the general manager returned none of my messages left on voice mail by me or son. I very rarely leave reviews rather take buisness elsewhere but in today's day and age, reviews mean something and are read. Dealerships are one and done. I told my son just because he bought his car there means nothing. It's a one and done buisness. More
Recently I took my 2018 2500 in for my scheduled service as I've been doing since I bought the truck new from them. I scheduled my truck for an oil change and fuel filter. Requested synthetic oil like I as I've been doing since I bought the truck new from them. I scheduled my truck for an oil change and fuel filter. Requested synthetic oil like I had the previous times, was willing to pay extra if need be(I purchased the maintenance plan with the truck) and I was told by my service guy when I showed up it would be covered along with my fuel filters as part of my plan. So after waiting a short 30 minutes the service guy I was dealing with came on got me , told me the oil change was done but they didn't have the fuel filters, I thought this was odd considering I made the appointment a week ahead of time but figured it happens. He said they'd have the filters the following week so no big deal but after looking at my receipt I see the wrong oil was put in my truck(bulk 15w40) even after I requested the same full synthetic oil I had the previous time. The service guy proceeded to argue with me and tell me it was the proper oil. It was an acceptable oil but not full synthetic I requested. Rather than stay I went home and gathered my receipt from the previous service to show the service department ,but they where closed by the time I got back. One super nice gentleman was there and said he'd help me out and to come in on Monday(it was a Thursday and I was busy Friday and Saturday) I thought great everything will be fixed. The next day I recieved a call from a different service manager who again proceeded to tell me the oil put in my truck was the proper oil. I kindly told him I requested and offered to pay extra for what I had the last time(Diesel specific 5w40 full synthetic can be used in a wider array of temperatures and may net higher mpg plus it's what's in the 6.7 cummins from the factory) He reluctantly agreed to swap it out for me on the following Monday. I came in after work to have my work done. The filters where in stock and I was getting the proper oil so I was happy. Well after an hour plus wait this time ( fine with the wait ,stuff takes time) the service manager called me to tell me my truck was done. I walk out of the lobby and go to get my truck and I'm handed a bill for over $300 and told the fuel filters weren't covered under my service plan(I would have done them myself if I knew that!). The previous week I was told they where and when I bought the plan I was told all scheduled maintenance was covered. Needless to say I'm not too happy. After paying the bill reluctantly, I get in my truck and it stinks of oil. I had oil on the middle seat, the drivers seat, steering wheel and shifter. I went through half a dozen armorall wipes cleaning it up. I can see a little oil but not that much! Not happy at all. More

Told the salesman “Woody” my husban Called on Tuesday morning after a holiday weekend. Received the employee pricing and was given a trade in amount. Told the salesman “Woody” my husband worked till 3:30 and we would be there. It was a 45 minute drive for us. We showed up as promised to be informed they just sold the vehicle. I spoke to them 2 hours before then and the vehicle was available. I’m quite sure they did not want to sell to us because we got the employee price and our trade was worth more than we were buying. They could have called to tell me so I didn’t drive 45 minutes! Not a good experience at all!!!! More
Brought in my jeep wrangler for service and replacement of oil pan. Felt vibration when I picked up my vehicle. They told me it was my skid plate that was causing the vibration. I took it to another tru of oil pan. Felt vibration when I picked up my vehicle. They told me it was my skid plate that was causing the vibration. I took it to another truck specialist and they told me that the service team(Griffin) did not reinstall my skid plate properly. It was missing 2 plates and a bolt..... They also lost my Jeep key and did not tell me until I had to call them. I will not recommend my friends to this dealer. More
