I thought the overall experience was OK, but there were a few things I thought could be done better to get a good or even Great rating. It took a long time for the paperwork to be completed. The gas tank when I received the car was less than have full. I've bought new and used cars from dealers before and the tanks were filled. I would have given the price a Good to exellent rating if it wasn't for the $229 they charged me for an etched number the dealer has put on the window to lower their insurance rates(that's what I was told anyway) and then pass along the cost to me. I guess if the dealer has to do that and it costs that much that's fine, but you need to add that to the add price up front so the person buying the car knows up front what the actaul price is. Seems to me they are not totally being truthfull with their price since the dealer knows ahead of time. It's kind of having a hidden option on the car that I don't want and wasn't told about. So bottom line be honest about the price up front and don't spring it on the customer when they are in the middle of the paperwork. If the add price had not been a good deal I would have told the dealer that I'm not paying the extra $229 and I'm only paying waht they had it advertised for. Thinking back I should have probably done that. More
The dealer had an outstanding price online that we could not pass up. Furthermore, we contacted other dealers with a better price in the area that had a similar vehicle for sale except it was not the color not pass up. We asked the dealer if they would knock down the price to what their competitors were offering and they matched it. Even though we were set on purchasing the vehicle as we had already test driven other similar models (just not the color we wanted) when we arrived they wanted us to take the vehicle for a test drive and take a look at the vehicle prior to purchasing it to make sure it was exactly what we were looking for and to make sure that nothing was wrong with the vehicle. The person helping walk through the financial paperwork was very friendly and helpful. They asked once whether or not we wanted to add other options or extend the warranty, which we declined and they never questioned or pressured us in upgrading anything, which is not like the experience I have gotten at other dealers. I had researched the dodge nitro on line before deciding to buy this vehicle. I then looked at the dealers ratings on line to find out the best dealership to go to actually test drive the nitro. Gresham Dodge has excellent reviews, so called and inquired first about the 2011 nitro. I spoke with Barry then I went into the dealership. I explained exactly what I wanted down to the payment that was exceptable for me. Not wanting to waste my time or theirs if that wasn't possible, I test drove the nitro then spoke to Andrew he was clear at explaining all the details of the warranty and extended warranty info and cost, he then understood exactly what I wanted he left come back and explained all the details to exactly as I wanted Then I was off to Will for final paperwork. These 3 men were the best they gave me no problems with what I wanted at all no trying to sell me something I didn't want and no raising the price to make the sell. I recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a new or used vehicle. They are as the say aim to please the customer and they do exactly that!!! I hate buying a new rig, always a big hassle. Salesmen don't listen, pushy, trying to get you to settle for less. Bah, Bah, Bah.......... NOT this time. Inquired about one of their on-line specials and scheduled a test drive with Mark Covington. He met me at the door, took me for a ride and asked how I liked it. It was a nice truck but did not have everything I wanted. Marks asked good questions, LISTENED to my answers and went looking for the right truck that had what I wanted. They did not have one in stock so Mark went on-line to look at other dealerships to see if he could find one just the way I wanted it. He found just the truck, worked up a price and we started crunching the numbers. We were too far apart, so in walks Andrew. Here comes the pressure? Nope, again questions were asked. Andrew Listened, tried to find solutions but didn't work out that day. It took both Mark and Andrew working on the numbers for a week before we can to a deal. Just a note, it took this long because I was unavailable most of the time and we played a lot of phone tag. My fault, not their's. Will wrote up the paper work and made it all look simple. He is very good at explaining everything, answering questions, and addressing concerns. A nice person to visit with! Bottom Line: They sold me a truck with no hassle, pressure, or games. I ended up with a better truck than the first one I looked at, and a lower cost then their special. I will do business here again. More
Normally buying a car is not an enjoyable experience. The sales staff here is very knowledgable and friendly. No high pressure sales or pushy employees. My initial visit was to look for a replacement car for my family and Fred Augustine was our salesman. Andrew was very informative and friendly to my wife and gave us plenty of time to think about our transactions. We did have some hiccups after the transaction but it was all taken care of and worked out on everyones part. Our final transaction was getting our licenses plate and with the help of William Hatton We finalized all of our transaction sales and I feel real comfortable working with this team again. Barb is a very friendly woman in the Parts department and has answered all my questions and calls in a timely manner. I would say that from the begining to the end it was a great experience and we have the vehicle that we were looking for. I will definately be calling upon William, Frank, Andrew, and the others to help me with my needs in the future. More
The night before at we had a great visit with our Daughter and Son-in-Law. The next day we did some looking on the internet for a 7 passenger van with captains seats in first and second row. We found the Dodge website, Dealer Look-up, and Used Car Inventory on Gresham Dodges Website were very easy to navigate. We located a couple of Vans that interesting us. Checked out the value of our possible trade-in and we drove down to the dealership. It is conveniently located and easy to access. Fred came out and offered to assist us finding a car. We located a van that was interesting, however, had the key to the wrong car that turned out to be the right car for US. Sitting right next to it we found the Van that was the one we had found on the website. Fred setup a test drive. From the moment we got in we found it to be just what we were looking for. 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan, Low mileage, smelled just right (no smoke no heavy cleaner or perfume cover-ups), clean, roomy interior. With very little hassle, the wonderful help of the management and the information we had brought with us, we were able to negotiate a deal for the Van and our trade-in. Then it was time for the final documents and Will took good care of making even this task pleasant and possibly even fun. We found everyone to be congenial and would recommend this dealship. From the time Jerry Wilson met me at the door with an umbrella and walked me out to a couple trucks after talking I had a good vibe with all the guy's I met. All were true professionals. Friendly,respectful,knowledgeable. This is the second Dodge truck I've bought at Gresham Dodge. I highly recommend Gresham Dodge to others I know and meet. I spent several hours working with all the guy's and with no reservation give them a OUTSTANDING rating.
