Easily the worst experience I have had purchasing a vehicle. This is the first bad rating I’ve ever left a dealership but this was truly awful. Fully negotiated (long distance) purchase and trade in. I accepted their listed sale price, we negotiated my trade-in, and then I get the final paperwork and it includes over $1,100 of additional fees. $325 or so was dealership fees. I was expecting some amount there but the total was excessive but j moved on. The other $800 was a forced six month warranty on windshield and tires/wheels. A warranty I would NEVER purchase on my own. I continued to push that I didn’t want it but I was told it is a non-negotiable. Never mind the paperwork for the warranty explicitly states that “purchase of the Contraxt is not required either to purchase the Vehicle or to obtain financing….” It is an absolute scam and I am working on canceling it now. I will note that I did ultimately purchase the vehicle because even with the $1,100 in additional fees I was happy with the price but their tactics are unethical and borderline illegal. I also want to note that knowing I was driving five hours to buy the vehicle and being told several times I would be there right at open I was told upon arriving that they had to attend their team meeting. Who has a team meeting after opening and with customers waiting? Lastly, my salesman told me they were going to “gas up the car” before they gave me the keys and as soon as I hit the road I realized they put in barely a half a tank of gas. Who lets a car leave their lot without a full tank of gas? 0/10 would not recommend, go in with completely open eyes that the deal will not seem to be what you think until you see all paperwork. 4 months ago I bought a truck from Greenville Hyundai - I had a bad feeling about the deal at the time and should have walked away, as they continually lied throughout the process. I went ahead and bought the truck, and have been happy with the truck. But 4 months and multiple phone calls later I still have not received my plates for the truck. They did issue new temporary tags after 2 months, but I can't get a phone call back, and can't get the actual tags for the truck. My next phone call is to my attorney, I have tried to be patient, but my patience has run out and I am done. Once I get the tags I can assure you that I will never do business with them again, and will do my best to make sure that none of my friends do either. More
