The purchasing was fine. Joel was a great guy and I think he did right by us with the car. The issues we had were afterwards with the service center and trying to get some issues fixed. After all was said and done I had to take it to my mechanic who found out that one of the calipers was frozen which could’ve been very disastrous. I don’t know why the service center would not believe me when I said the car was squealing in the left front tire. More
I have tried 5 times to reach the GM before writing this. I always reach out before having a negative review, First, I specifically told them not to run my credit since I was going to write a check. They ran my credit and had to explain it to a property project I am working on. It caused headaches. Second, the whole meet the manager and then bring in a salesperson at a round table in the middle of a big room really felt like a time share deal..lol..pretty comical. There seemed to be a lot of folks running around but I could not tell what anyone was really doing. It is not hard for a dealership to put a price together when they really aren't crunching numbers since the deal was not really a good presentation of what they could do. The KBB price they showed me on my car was $4,000 less than the deal Mazda had already offered on straight out sale. I then reminded them again of my career in the automotive marketing industry and we needed to stay away from the smoking mirrors. That also was pretty amusing. At the end of the evaluation of my car and then the difference to trade was so far off I did not make a counter offer. I did get a call 4 hours later with an option to try to get me $1500 more off the difference. That was still pretty far away of the needed offer. I bought the same car except with an upgrade of sound system at a neighboring town. We were able to start at a lot better place and It wasn't in a room like big deals were being made. Green did call me as I was signing papers and ask if i would stop and let them give me another price. This was a day later and was really too late, I think an evaluation of who their customer is before doing the presentation might be in their best interest. Once again, I have tried to make contact with the dealership to speak on my thoughts of the sales process at Green Ford including a returned email. I hope this will help improve their total sales procedure in the future. More
