sleezy,liar, racest, pushy, dishonest, beware! went to the dealership and looked around. A salesman came out to us. First thing he does is tries to convince us to lease, even though I said we wante went to the dealership and looked around. A salesman came out to us. First thing he does is tries to convince us to lease, even though I said we wanted to buy. We haven't even picked out a car and he's pushing leasing. Next this guy wants to know where we are from. We're from Akron we say, which is the town the dealership is located. He seems surprised, and doesn't seem to get it, and then we realize he's assuming we are foreign just because we have dark hair, and a slight tan. First of all, even if we weren't pasty white, doesn't mean we aren't from the United States, secondly, regardless of our nationality, or race, or country of origin, its really none of his business. It is however, rude, disrespectful and raciest. So, this salesman gets over his shock of our answer being from the same town from which we are now standing, and actually asks us what we're interested in. Great I think, progress. We tell him we're looking for a car to send my student off to college, and are thinking a Civic or a CRV, used. He looks up what he has. Brings up $30k, cars. Not what we're looking for. Finally he understands and chooses 2 in the $11-12K range. He picks one particular says has been serviced and in great shape. Terrific we think, lets take it for a test drive. He goes off to get the keys and suggests we wonder toward his row of other used cars to see if anything interests us. While he's gone we see a Fit. which is the other Honda we have been considering. No price, but looks probably in our price range. We use our smart phones and look it up on their site, great in same price range. We then sign into our carfax report account. (for $54.99, a private person can get an unlimited amount of car fax reports for 60 days, which is perfect for those of us car shopping) No reported accidents, but we'll get back to that in a moment. The salesman returns and we mention we'd like to test that too. He suggest lets test the CRV first and leads us. to our surprise, its not with the rest of the cars, but in the back of the building, separate from most the other cars for sale. upon entering, we see its dirty. food debris is all over the front floor, lots of it, and the passenger front seat is sticky. He tells us it hasn't been detailed yet, contradicting his earlier statement that they just detailed and serviced this car. Oh, well I think, it can be cleaned up easy enough. off we go. Im not familiar with this part of town so I ask him to direct us to the highway, as I want to see how it handles at higher speeds. as soon as we get on the highway, Matt, the salesman, is ready to get off, I say I want to drive it more than a few feet, to see it get up there a little. as I accelerate, the steering wheel starts to shake, alot, at about 60 its almost hard to control the car, something is wrong I say and tell him what's going on, I state we need to get off the highway, its dangerous. He directs us off the exit, but then turning around directs us back despite the wobbling, shaking steering wheel to go back. Later, after we left the lot, I realized where we were, and could have taken the back road only 3 minutes more driving and gotten back there without going on the highway, but he chose to force me to drive it at high speed endangering all of us as it vibrated. During our drive, the salesman MATT, is whistling to himself. I suspect to cover the noises the car is making. Its not handling well. RPMs are very high with little acceleration. I'm trying to listen but he's making all kinds noises in the back seat. Back at the lot, he tells me that its probably doing that because it has snow tires! I said no, wheel bearing, and alignment are a problem. He's sticking to his tire story. I know he's lying. Its obvious something is wrong with the car. He assures me they serviced and drove the car on the highway and its in great shape. Liar! I think to myself. I tell him its definitely more than that and he should have the repair dept. check it so someone doesn't get hurt. He agrees, but suggests if they can take care of it would I still be interested. No I state, we'd like to see the other car. He tries to assure me they can take care of it, i"m not interested in a broken car that he claims just has snow tires. So he heads away to get the keys and suggests we meet him at the other car. We wait for him for a few minutes, I'm wondering what the deal is, what is taking so long. He returns with another guy, He's going to trade us off to him. Very unprofessional, to switch. But before he departs he tries to get me to commit to buying the Fit, and we haven't even touched it, no less test driven it. He is very pushy. I ask about trading my other car, no real answer, not showing interest in finding out if we can get a trade value. He's insisting on me committing to the car before we test drove if he can get the payment low at about $150. I'm not ready to commit to a car we haven't looked at yet or test drove, and tell him so. He's still talking pushy salesman double talk. Finally I have to be firm, as I am not committng to anything until we test drive the car. He again says just let me know if we have a deal today if I can get the payment where you need. I'm exasperated at his pushing. i tell him depends on if my kid likes the car, and how it runs. He asks how soon I'm ready to buy. I tell him between now and next 2 weeks. He's not happy and not afraid to show it, and repeats 2 weeks. Yes, depends on when we find the right car and we don't know if this is because we haven't driving it yet. After several minutes of his talking and pushing behavior he leaves us with the new guy to test drive. The car won't open with the key, wrong key turns out. Matt and he can't figure it out at first, then they are to go find the right key. we wait meanwhile still in the sprinkling rain we stood in while Matt hammered us about finances. Which we would have preferred to discuss at a desk inside if we ever got to that point. Away they go to look for the right key. Returning, I am told this car is saved for her neighbor that why the key won't work. I don't know who her is but that doesn't seem right. The car is listed for sale, its on the lot in the row with other for sale cars, and...they said it was available several minutes earlier. No depost down, just being held for her neighbor/friend, and we are told we can't buy it. What, this is crazy. But, we can buy something else. No I am finished I decide. On another note, while we were waiting for the lost key to be found, we had ample time to check out the car body. they had touched up several spots on the car with paint. this we know because someone sloppily driipped white car paint on the headlight, and back windshield. further no body repairs were reported or accidents, but besides this, the back bumber was replaced or repaired. This was obvious because it was a brighter and different shade of white, very noticible. the same exact shade as the drips. needing an entire bumber replacement or repair suggests an accident which the carfax report did not show. the saleman seemed mystified when I pointed it out. I dont know if this salesman always lies, or assumes we are clueless because we are women, or because he thinks we are foreigners, but the multitude of lies and pushy behavior was appalling and a very uncomfortable experience. I would never recommend going there to anyone unless they wanted a miserable experience. On the contrary we drove away and went to Ganley Honda across town and they were so accomodating and tremendous with us we purchased a terrific little Honda fit right away. The entire process over there was great from salesman, to Manager, to fiancing. More

Toriano and his team made it happen! We drove away in two 2016 Honda Civics, an EX and a Touring. (*Surprised our youngest with a 2016 upgrade to her 2014. Toriano was great helping us keep our youngest in suspense!) Our oldest was not expecting her Touring, as it is the top of the EX line. She loves it!
