They scammed the xxxx out of us. My girl went here to trade in her car for another. They approved her for a vehicle, gave her the keys and took her old car. A week later they call say My girl went here to trade in her car for another. They approved her for a vehicle, gave her the keys and took her old car. A week later they call saying they need the car back bc the bank didn’t approve her. Weird, since they usually find that out BEFORE giving someone the keys. We had to bring in the car before they told us that bc they were fixing it for her and gave us a loaner, but the same day we give them the car to get fixed is the same day they call and tell us they are keeping it. (And yes they gave us a loaner but they know we would have no choice but to return it bc we could go to jail if we didn’t) They said they would work with us to find another bank who would approve her. A week goes by and nothing. On to the next week and they are being very vague and only emailing her. Brittany is the one corresponding with my gf. Finally we told them we wanted the Kia back and the 3 grand that was put down. They kept avoiding that and telling us that they were working on trying to get us to keep the Toyota. At this point we didn’t want it. We just wanted our car back. So a few more days goes by (we have had the loaner longer than we even had the car she initially took home) my girl goes online and checks the status of her Kia bc if we were getting it back then she needed to make a payment. Well Honda paid the car off which means that AFTER we told them we wanted it back and they agreed to that option as well but kept avoiding us, They did that behind our backs so we can’t get the car back. They officially own the car. When we called and asked them about it they claimed to have no idea how that happened. xxxxxxxx. But then they come back and say that they found a bank that approved her but now the interest rate is waaaaay higher which means more money out of our pockets and into theirs and they left us with no choice on anything bc they now own our old car. So we are left with nothing. They are two faced, manipulating and awful people. They scammed the xxxx out of my gf. Look up “Spot Delivery Scam” that is Honda to a T. I have never in my life seen this happen first hand. I thought maybe this would happen with a buy here pay here type deal. Not with a place like this. I’m utterly disgusted with how they’ve treated us. They could care less that they just screwed us. They only care about their money and commission. They played the “oh I had no idea” card way too well. They saw my gf as someone who was young and who they can take advantage of. It makes me sick. Don’t go here. Don’t deal with Brittany Brown or Patty. Don’t deal with anyone there in general. Go somewhere else. You’ll regret it if you don’t. More
Service Department is terrible Went in for maintenance (oil change and tire rotation) on a CRV with 22k that I am leasing. I have serviced the car elsewhere, but took to dealership Went in for maintenance (oil change and tire rotation) on a CRV with 22k that I am leasing. I have serviced the car elsewhere, but took to dealership since it needed the tire rotation. Ended up purchasing front and rear brake ma bye ace and new filters. Was quoted a price. Came to pick vehicle up and noticed they did not wash the car. When I asked, was told they can’t wash cars when it is less than 32 degrees out. It was 37 degrees mind you and car washes are d be inside. Then when I checked out with the cashier the price was more than the quote only to discover they have “miscellaneous” charges. When I asked, these were charges that are on a bill to cover shop materials. What could add up to be more on oil change and tire rotation and brake maintenance that wasn’t already included? Was treated like I should not of even questioned this. I will not be back! More

We have had few service issues, thanks to the quality cars built by Honda. We have always been treated quickly and fairly and I would recommend Great Lakes to anyone looking to buy a Honda. Keep up the good work! More

As a 20 year customer I am more than happy to move on. Mike Pruitt knew how to treat people and he coached his employees to do the same. Since this dealership was sold in 2014 the tides have changed. My family - dad, sister, brother, uncle and my daughters have all been long time customers. Why? 1. We were treated fairly and with respect. 2. We were never talked to rudely by a sales manager or any employee. 3. The employees were polite and courteous. 4. Service was phenomenal! 5. The highest level of integrity. These qualities are priceless today! Our recent experience speaks for itself..... In turning in my leased Accord in June I was told by the sales manager, "I don't have to buy this car back from you". Now mind you we were not even negotiating a new vehicle at this point. That's how he started off our meeting. He was rude, arrogant and condescending. And we were there as returning customers! "I am discusted and ashamed of this type of service at a Honda dealership. I did meet with a general manager who apologized for the behavior and offered free stuff.... really? The owner, Joey, whom we met and leased 3 vehicles from in 2014 was made aware of this incident and didnt even try to reach out to us! I had a wonderful relationship with Mike Pruitt Honda and the service team - they treated my family and I like FAMILY! Joey, there is a certain way to treat people. Ask Mike. I will miss my friends in the service department. Sad More
Do NOT go to this dealership!!!!!! I wish I had never stepped foot on to this dealership's lot. They pushed me into a car that didn't suit my needs because its what they had on the lot I wish I had never stepped foot on to this dealership's lot. They pushed me into a car that didn't suit my needs because its what they had on the lot and wanted to meet their sales quota. They lied to me about features and didn't care about what was important to me in a vehicle. They just wanted a fast sale. They double charged me for accessories and have never gotten back to me about a refund. They left us sitting there for hours after they took our old car away and never even told us how long we would be stuck there (hours) I have driven Hondas for years and always loved them. I kept my last one for 10 years. This isn't the car I wanted - when I do get a new one, it most certainly won't be from Great Lakes. More
say anything for the sale cricketts afterwards Bought a used vehicle from them. The service manager had the extra key fob. It would be mailed to me within the week. 2 weeks later no key fob. Ev Bought a used vehicle from them. The service manager had the extra key fob. It would be mailed to me within the week. 2 weeks later no key fob. Everytime I call and ask to speak to the used car manager I get a different person. like 12 in the same week. Pathetic. All the promised followup phone calls never happen. When I bought the car one of the tires was low according to the sensor and asked them to check that out before I picked up the car. Wasn't done. Their response was because the tires took nitrogen not air and they did not have that on site. When negotiating they bashed every other dealership in the area. Claim some even took wrecked cars and washed the titles to make it look they were perfect cars. Even that one dealership was known to weld cards together and sell unsafe cars. PATHETIC with all the dealers go else where. More
Epitome of slimeball dealership We were looking to trade in our immaculate condition 2009 Ford Edge with 44k miles for a 2012 Jeep Wrangler. I've never been more insulted in my 30+ years of buying from dealerships. Seriously, you have to have some big stones or think people are stupid to low ball like that. Needless to say I will make sure none of my family, friends or associates give you a dime of business. I'm still in disbelief over this. More

In February, after being driven less than In January of 2017 I bought two vehicles from this dealer, a 2017 Civic and a 2006 Accord for my daughter. In February, after being driven less than 1000 miles, the service light went on in my daughters car and the oil reading of 15% came on. Needless to say, I was not happy that the car needed an oil change after less than 1000 miles. I took the car in expecting an oil change and the service department refused. They said the car was given an oil change in November of 2016 and they "forgot" to reset the computer. I then said fine, I am still expecting the oil to be changed and they said no. The general manager, Patsy Santone, was NO help at all. He said it was a simple mistake by the service department, and he didn't sem to care that I had driven the car in to correct a mistake his service department made.. More
