His presentation was very low key, and we soon arrived at a friendly deal. The Grand Subaru price was at least $2,000 less than the one from Gerald Subaru. Mike gave a thorough run thru for my wife at delivery. I feel confident that if we have any problems or questions in the future, Mike will be our reliable and understanding contact. The only unfavorable comment might be related to the hour wait before we could get into the office to complete paperwork. No explanation was given as to why we had to wait so long, but it didn't sour the experience of purchasing our beautiful new car. I'd recommend Grand Subaru to a friend. More

From the first email on, I knew this dealership was all about customer service and they were willing to bend over backwards to get the deal done. I walked in the dealership at 8 PM on a Thursday and Joe D'Andrea and Chris Czaja stayed with me until after 9pm and Chris delivered the car to me next day after the car was PDI. The one thing that stands out to me about Joe D'Andrea is his honesty. I originally was about to buy a Toyota and they of course gave me my credit score. However when my credit was run by Joe my credit was actually 30 points higher which qualified me for an even better rate. If you are looking for a Subaru dealer in Illinois, don't bother shopping around. Go see Joe D'Andrea the sales manager at Grand Subaru and Chris Czaja Internet Sales Manager, they will give you the best price first with no games. More

Our 'Go To' place for buying a car Before we bought our first Subaru, a new 2009 Outback, at Grand Subaru, I first got several online quotes from several other Subaru dealers. Grand off Before we bought our first Subaru, a new 2009 Outback, at Grand Subaru, I first got several online quotes from several other Subaru dealers. Grand offered the lowest price and didn't tack on a bunch of questionable fees or other expenses. When shown Grand Subaru's price, the other dealers weren't willing to match it or negotiate, so we went to Grand Subaru. In person, the salesman was friendly, helpful, upfront, and we felt honest with us - a very pleasant buying experience! Based on that positive experience, when we needed to replace the 2009 (due to it being totaled in an accident), we didn't bother with other dealers but went straight to Grand Subaru. Again, we felt that the salesman and other staff were fair and upfront with us. Our salesman offered us an amazing deal on a new 2014 Outback with Premium upgrades! but since I object to tinted windows and leather seats, I really wanted a base model and there were no more base 2014s available. We went with a base 2015 and feel we paid a fair price for it. Before arriving at the dealership to select a car this time, I called and made an appointment with our salesman because I knew it would be busy on Saturday morning and we had time constraints. I expected that he would work with us exclusively until we had all our questions answered, test drove a car and accomplished what we wanted to accomplish. However, it turned out to be a very busy morning with many people asking for our salesman's assistance, so we ended up waiting quite a bit over the course of the time we were there. Maybe my expectations were unrealistic - we don't buy cars frequently, so I don't know what standard practice is. After that first time, our salesman spent as much time with us as we needed each time we returned through the decision making process, each successive time on a weekday when it was less busy. He was helpful in trying to locate the base model we wanted, didn't try to sell us upgrades we didn't want, and although he offered the typical weather protection protection packages, he wasn't pushy and accepted our 'no' the first time. He also did a great job staying in contact with us during the entire process through email which we indicated was our preferred mode of communication and he provided his cell phone number so I always felt I could get a hold of him if I needed to. Another plus - both times buying cars at Grand Subaru, the salesmen were respectful of me (a woman), including me in all discussions, making sure all my questions were answered and concerns addressed. I have dealt with other dealerships where the salesman talked mostly to my husband as if I wasn't important. That was not my experience at Grand and I wouldn't hesitate to buy a car from them on my own if need be. More
Name says it all Mason LIES The story starts a little over a month ago when after a recent promotion I decided to buy a new car. This being my first car purchase I was, needless The story starts a little over a month ago when after a recent promotion I decided to buy a new car. This being my first car purchase I was, needless to say, nervous and a little scared. Growing up hearing horror stories about bad dealers and their shifty ways I was cautious to say the least. I looked at several different cars and narrowed it down to the 2014 Subaru BRZ Limited. I looked in the Chicago Suburbs, Indiana, and Wisconsin to find the car I was after. After contacting all of the Subaru dealers in the area I came upon Grand Subaru in Bensenville, Illinois. They advertise being the lowest price dealer and they were right. I first encountered Mason Lies (how appropriate) after he sent me a reply email to my inquiry of a quote of a 2014 BRZ Limited. The initial quote was for a Silver BRZ and his price was $26,286. After a few days I emailed him back asking if he could find me a white BRZ. His reply back was yes and the new price was $25,700. He also explained I would have to put a $500 deposit down since the car needed to be dealer traded. So after a month of extremely heavy researching I decided to go to Grand Subaru and talk numbers with Mason. I brought my uncle along on this quest to help with negotiations and as a support system. The first thing that turned me off was after 10 emails inside of three weeks and E-mailing the night before for an appointment Mason had no idea who I was (Strike one). Mason then led my Uncle and myself back to the BRZ section of the lot. They had several 2014’s and a couple 2015’s. My uncle then asked what the process was to obtain the white BRZ. Mason then replied it would be very easy we would just trade them for one of ours. The only positive I will say about this day is Mason asked if I wanted to test drive. Knowing the car does not have much of a backseat Mason did not attend the test drive. After returning back from the test drive we went into Mason’s office to talk numbers. Here’s where the fun begins! I first asked Mason to again quote me the price for a white and dark gray BRZ. After looking at the computer and scratching down some numbers his quote was about $1000 higher than what he emailed me only a few days prior. I then explain to him that I have an email from him quoting the price at $25,700. He then told us he would ALWAYS honor the quote from the email because he wrote it. We then asked about a lower price, he returned and very smugly stated, “We decline your offer”. (Strike Two) He then stated that to get the white BRZ would cost more and that a $500 rebate from Grand Subaru could not be applied since they had to go get the car. Even though I have an E-mail stating the exact quote of $25,700 and he always will honor what he has written he then raised the price. (Strike Three) So the White BRZ is off the table. Still I really wanted a BRZ so turned our attention back to dark grey at $25,700. Mason then told us that he was going on vacation this next week so we could either buy the car today or wait till he got back from vacation. Yes, let me put my life on hold for you……. NO (Strike Four) I next wanted to talk about financing with Mason. I knew that on the Subaru website it says 0.9% financing for 2014 BRZ’s. We asked the terms and for longer loans what was offered. He replied with 36 months. My uncle asked what about 60 or 72 months? “Here’s where you have to pay close attention”. Mason said for 60 months it would be 1.9%, also Subaru does not offer 72-month loans it would have to be a third-party Mason explained. (Even though at another dealer they stated Subaru does do a 72 month loan and the program is set at .9% with excellent credit, he tried to give us a great price but screw us on the financing.) Mason told me with a high enough credit score 72-months would be somewhere between 1.9% and 2.9% I explained to him the financing would be a deal breaker and to run my credit. He came back and told me my credit score is over 800. He declared “good news” 60 months would be 2.9% and 72 months would be 3.9%. TIME OUT! A few minutes ago 60 months was 1.9% and now it’s 2.9%. (Strike Five) While my uncle argued about all of the garbage that Mason was telling us I went outside and made a phone call to another Subaru dealer. I made an appointment another Subaru dealer in 45 minutes. When I walked back in Mason was gone because my uncle asked him to check something else. I informed my uncle that I just made an appointment with a different Subaru dealer and I was going to be no longer dealing with a person who has NO professionalism, no work ethic, is rude, and a liar. I think that his name says it all Mason Lies over and over again. He has no compassion and no desire to work with you toward buying a car, I felt as if I was bothering him by sitting in his office trying to give him business. A few hours later I bought a 2014 Dark Gray Metallic BRZ Limited for a lower price and with a number of extras. All I wanted to do that Saturday was give my hard earned money to a person who wanted me as a customer, he didn’t need to be my friend just professional. I got none of that meeting Mason. Mason showed me that if I want to buy a Subaru I will avoid Grand Subaru at all costs, unless you want to have the old bait and switch. There lots of other dealers out there who are actually willing to take the time and be courteous to a costumer since we are the ones paying your bills. Think about that Mason, next time you decide to be yourself and lie to a customer. More
'Normal' sales staff that is not pushy, great selection! This was my third purchase from Grand Subaru and with Joe D'Andrea. I called him at 3.30 pm on a Saturday, and I walked out with the car of our choice that evening before 6 pm! This is the model experience for Grand Subaru. I think there are three things that really differentiate Grand Subaru: 1. Selection on site: Given the volume they do, they are able to hold a larger inventory of most cars on their lot. Chances are that they HAVE the car you need or they'll be able to get one from a local dealer 2. Pricing: Because of volume, they are able to keep very competitive pricing. I bought a car and then remembered that I had Costco Auto pricing. When I contact Costco, they basically told me that the price I had received from Joe, was even lower than what Costco was able to negotiate for me! 3. Staff: Let's be honest, car buying experience is somewhat overwhelming! I don't know whether it a Subaru thing or just a Grand Subaru thing, but I have never felt "pushed" into a sale. They let you make your decisions, answer your questions and the sales staff is "real". No sleazy car salesmen that you'll find at any other dealership. Even their location is very normal - no fancy couches, no over the top waiting area. I have NEVER written reviews online, but I had to take the time to write one here just for Grand Subaru and in particular for Joe D'Andrea. As many things in life, you look for the one that works, and Grand Subaru definitely works for me! If you're in the market for a Subaru, give these guys a visit - you'll be pleasantly surprised! More

She Melissa is the internet Sales Manager. She did an outstanding job with us. A great price, made the buying process FUN!!!! Just a super person. She spent lots of time with me on the phone going over various car options and this was while she knew I was still just looking. I would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a Subaru or a new car in general to contact Grand Subaru, ask for Melissa and get yourself a great new car, at a great price, with great options. She spent time with me after the sale going over all the features of the car (unlike a previous dealership that I have dealt with) to make sure that I understood where things were in the car and how things worked. The only "All In" Subaru Dealership in Chicago-land! I just finished helping my son and brother purchase a 2013 Crosstrek & 2014 Impreza. We secured price quotes from Internet Sales Manager, Chris Czaja, when seeking to find the best deal possible in the Chicago-land area. Each quote was guaranteed by Chris to be the best and lowest price he could offer, and included all taxes/option costs/fees. His quotes were the lowest available (total price paid was under SMRP), and came with Chris's assurance that the quote would not increase by one dollar when the vehicle arrived. It was a nice experience to work with someone who offered a great price, and then stuck to it when the transaction was completed. When Chris says the dealership is "ALL IN"..............................trust him, they are! More
