I stopped into Goss Dodge on a Saturday afternoon, around 4PM. I parked my car in the customer parking spot (indicating that I was a customer) and walked through the lot. I passed two workers who were standing outside and talking. They both looked my way but neither acknowledged me. I continued to the door and Neill stopped what he was doing, introduced himself and said he would be happy to help me in a couple of moments. He finished what he was doing and promptly came back to chat with me. I asked to test drive a 2013 Durango Citadel that I saw in the lot. He asked no questions, made a copy of my license and handed over the keys. Off I went... When I got back, I knew that the Citadel would be the car I was purchasing, but I still had to look... I told Neill that I would be back if I decided to go with Dodge. He gave me his card and thanked me for my time. I have shopped for cars before and I can't ever get out of the dealership without leaving contact info, feeling pressured or feeling like I had just bothered someone. Neill allowed me to walk away without any guilt. I liked the Citadel, but I loved the feeling of NO PRESSURE! I actually felt as if Neill was trying to honor what was best for me...without pretending or pushing what he thought that might be! I returned about three months later and went right to his desk. He remembered me and made me feel like I was his only customer! He treated me well, was patient and helpful, very thorough and dedicated! He made me feel like I had known him for years and made me feel like I could trust him! Because of his work, I will most likely return for my next vehicle. I loved the low pressure, "family" feel I got when working with Neill! When searching for your next vehicle, seek him out...he will treat you well, listen to understand your wants, needs/desires, and do the very best he can for you! It will be worth it! We went to the dealership looking for a used Jeep for myslef to travel back and forth to college. I was very impressed with the customer service and knowledge of our salesman. He was not pushy but was there to answer questions and offer any assistance needed. When we stopped at Goss we really where not ready to buy a car. Neill waved to us as we drove around your lot. Then he proceeded to ask what we were looking for. He showed us three different cars to our liking our second choice was a Subbru we were going to test drive. He went to start the car for us and it wouldn't start without a jump. The car ran rough. Neill then said he didn't want us to take the car for a test ride in the condition it was in. It was then that Neill Burgess was the person I wanted to buy a car from. He said he had a Dodge Journey 2012 for about the same price and the AWD. which I wanted. I have been driving the new car for 4 days now and like it very much. We we having trouble finding my boyfriend his a vehicle since he had no credit. After inputting our information into Goss Dodges credit estimator Paul Poltz contacted us. We explained the situation and he said come in and they will try to help us figure it out. We scheduled a time to meet and then filled out the online credit application. We got the call we were approved and went down that same day with a vehicle in mind. We were looking at the as is vehicles, after arriving it was evident the car we had in mind wasn't great for what he needed and Paul knew this so he steered us away. Prior to us coming in he had noted which vehicles would be in our price range and would work for us. With his help we decided on a Nissan Xterra that day. We finished the paperwork and took the vehicle home. Paul is the nicest guy, he made the process enjoyable and rewarding for us. He is a great musician and someone with whom we will continue to contact for vehicles. The team at Goss Dodge helped us out and we are happy with out purchase! More
Let me say first that I hate car shopping! My last two cars I pretty much picked out ahead of time from websites and then just went in and bought them. This time though I was at a loss. The car was more for my husband than me and his tastes run towards SUV's like Ford Explorer's. So this time the both of us went shopping together. Every other dealer we stopped at that day never even sent a salesman out the door to talk to us, even though we spent a good amount of time looking at some SUV's at a few of them. Different story at Goss though! We were looking at an Equinox for maybe 3 minutes when Paul was right there asking us what we were looking for. Within a few minutes we were on our first test drive and getting our 12 year old SUV appraised for trade-in. The car we ended up with was a little out of our planned budget but Paul went to work to get it to an affordable amount. We felt we were treated very fairly, got a good trade-in price for our old SUV and went ahead with the deal. Our new to us car has been great and Paul was very easy to work with, not pushy at all, just wanted to make sure we got what we needed. More
I went to Willie Racine's because it was close to where I lived and I was looking to buy a vehicle with very specific "must-haves." I had been to two dealerships prior to hitting Willie Racine's and was expecting to be given the run-around and feel pressured into buying a vehicle on the spot. This was not my experience at Willie Racine's...thank goodness! I walked in and a woman complimented my rain boots (it was pouring outside when I went). This woman turned out to be Linda Larose, by far, the most friendly, honest, hard working, competent, and "customer-first" sales person I've ever had the pleasure of working with. This was my first time buying a car on my own and she was very respectful and relatable. She encouraged me to call my dad to consult and was very patient and understanding when I was getting sentimental about trading in my first car. She was just the right amount of pushy to help me get excited about making this big step while also letting me take the time I needed. Linda also made suggestions about insurance and was very open about why she personally chooses one company over another and hooked me up with her agent. As I said, it was raining when I test drove the car and then when I came back later that day to take another look. It is partially my fault for not taking the appropriate amount of time to look the car over from the outside, but I'll blame it on the rain. I was disappointed when I found several scratches and nicks in the bumper and hatch the next day. As for a trade in, Willie Racine's (and Linda) worked hard to give me a fair price for my car right off the bat. I was persistent and managed to get a few hundred more for the trade in, but it really did seem that it was a struggle because they were fair from the get-go. Linda has been consistently helpful even after the sale was complete. I called her the next day because I had left something in my old car and she was glad to help me out. Fortunately my car was still on the lot and she took me up to get everything out. I also discovered, after removing the paper mat on the driver's side, that I was missing the driver's side mat. While I was annoyed at first by this oversight, I called Linda and she immediately ordered a set and has put the driver's side mat in the mail for me. Linda made my car-buying experience as painless as possible. She is knowledgeable about the cars on the lot, is very accommodating, and at least with me, was very intuitive into what her clients need. Linda is great! If you're considering a Jeep, go to Willie Racine's. If you're considering Willie Racine's, work with Linda. More
