New to Lincoln I was in the market for a new to me sedan, and I wanted a lot of car for the dollar. I looked at Toyota, Infiniti, Lexus, Acura, Cadillac and BMW. It stayed great until I met with the Finance Manager, John, who I had to look up his name on the website because he wouldn’t even introduce himself. He maybe spoke 20 worlds total. I figured as a cash buyer it’d be a quick, but that was honestly the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever seen. I’d definitely recommend either paying cash if possible, or definitely seeking your own financing before letting this guy bother working with you. Saving yourself the experience and disappointment of letting him earn the opportunity to do your financing, and let your bank get that business. Gus deserves a 5-5 stars, but honestly John was so terrible as his job, I can’t let the dealership get anything better than fair. Please go see Gus for all your car buying needs, but make sure you use your own bank for your financing needs, because they value you way more than John ever will, and deserve your business and hard earned money more than John. Don’t listen to him about “being easier” or “we’ll do a better rate” believe me your bank will do whatever rate he can. Or shop other main lenders in the area, same thing he’ll do, but without him sending you to multiple lenders putting those inquiries on your credit history. More
